Went up a mountain called Carn Liath for a winter walk a few weeks back, in proper snow and ice, incredible experience, with whiteout at the top (though my mobile rang at the summit which ruined it a bit) and amazing snow and ice wind-blown sculpted details over the ground.

Got home and in a non-drug-induced state of blissful relaxation and exhaustion wrote this using just Zebra 2's in Sonar 5.

Definitely one for the quiet hours or to chill out, light up a smoke or whatever you do and sit back and picture the snow drifting with the wind over the heather, hear the wind blowing through the mountains....

The Black Grouse and the Mountain Hare

oh yeah and I saw some Black Grouse for the first time, and a mountain hare... its quite nice writing music to represent an experience you have had 8)

and oh my god it's not drum and bass!

great breakfast track.
Its been 13 years since I was back in the uk. Never thought I'd miss the cold and the sleet and the dark wind...

True, been doing the same recently, after spending a weekend in a mangrove swamp.

Enjoying this track, sounds a lot more gentle than I imagine the reality of a scots mountaintop. Letting it loop for the morning browse...

Indeed, it's a very snowy windy kind of track. Success, I'd say.

@ shamann & vurt, ta! First time I've sat down and done something short and improvised and ambient for quite a while, wasn't going to bounce it down but thought what the hey.

Very nice! Just the thing for an after-lunch relaxation session while browsing KVR. :) :hihi:

this is lush, zebra serving you well here. it has a "edge of control" feel to it while still remaining very chilled.

great sounds.

cheers,

steve.

Thanks guys 8)

lush is one of the best adjectives for Zebra 2

I find the whine-y wind that is panned a bit to the right irritating, but other than that this is a very good track with quite a bit variation and good structure.
