Ugh. Is it me (I hope it is), or does the piano roll in Logic have it out for me?

Sometimes I draw a note, and if it isnt exactly on the quarter-note (for example), I just want to drag it and place it correctly. But it seems to jump over the quarter note spot!

Is there a way to make it snap to the line? (without having to switch to the Q tool?)

Hold down the control key... you can move it anywhere you want! :)

DHR53, You truly are a Logic Pro.

Thanks a million!

control drag is fantastic to nudge notes if you're after 'that human touch' for drums too!

I agree though Logic's piano roll requires some zooming to feel comfortable, if it's too small a grid the notes sometimes seem to jump a line, like they are "repelled" by it somehow..

Open the key commands window, it shows you all the cool stuff. You can't be a Logic pro until you've customised and learned your key commands... ;)

Oh, and reading the manual occasionally helps too... ;)

it won't snap though, if that's what he wants

strange that people don't instinctively try out a few key/mouse combinations. Everyone should know function key/mouse always has different functions
