ratshack by audiodamage has been upgraded to version 2.

i think previous versions were win only, this new one has several mac compatible versions, too.

any comments by people who already owned the previous version?

i bought it a few minutes ago and will try it for a while. it's not complicated whatsoever, but i guess for a manual i might have to track one down of the original hardware unit somewhere on the web.
if it should not suit me i'll take advantage of their 30-day-money-back guarantee.

so far:
+ i like the overdriven sound through the mic in
- dubstation is only a few bucks more, but is much more versatile

either way - thanks to chris et al at audiodamage for this plug. :)

Oh man, that's priceless!

I can't possibly conceive of spending $35 for this thing. Seems like it would an amusing freebie, but...

Besides, I have a spring reverb in my Doepfer system, and I'll be picking up a couple of their BBD modules when they are released in the next month. :D
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

This thing's awesome for super-crappy delay-ish room sounding stuff.

yeah, seems like it. :) modulating/automating its sliders can do many beautiful changes to passing sound. i really like that about it so far. 8)

Depends what you're doing. But if you want lo-fi grot with that erm 'character' thingy, it gives you it...

Likewise, plus a Space Echo. But this still has its uses for me.

Hi,

Have they added an output volume trim control to it? (From the screenshot I'd say not, since it looks the same GUI.)

Bye,
Steve

I owned one of these back in the day, I even hacked it to bypass the dry signal.

Used to run my little Yamaha toy FM synth through it!

It was cool for $30 15 years ago, but it was a piece of shite, I don't know why anyone would want it today at all...

I would def go for Discord 2 or Dub Delay over this.

I've been using the mac version(vst only) wrapped in logic for over a year.

No, but the output is noticeably lower than v1, which was a bit heavy on the volume.

Yes, I'm extremely jealous of your Space Echo! :x
