Just wondering how many REX loops are included in each of the Bun E. Carlos volumes... do these correspond directly to what Q Up Arts has on their site for the "Bun E in the Box" product? (i.e. Surrender has 11 loops, Southern Girls 5, etc.). I like what I hear, it's just not clear to me from the description how much is actually included.
Thanks! John

It should be pretty close. Everything that was rexable. However, the number of loops is supposed to be listed. I will send a message over and it will be updated beginning of the week. Thanks.

Squids,
I love the fact that you are getting into this "Superstar Drummer In My Bedroom Studio" business!! Now only if you can box those groupies up and ship em our way, too!
I own one of the first products like this from another company and here's my experience...
Single hits from the same kit are necessary for doing intros, fills, and endings.
A stereo mix Rex file is good for piecing together a song, but I would buy it if the main drums (Kick, Snare, Hi-hat) were Rex-ed seperately. When using loops like this I found that if I wanted to remove a Kick (especially on the 1 or 3) I lost the Hi-hat...same for the snare.
I know I'm really describing Studio Profiles, but I don't believe that they are Rex so you have two products that are just a little weak in one area each...if you blend the Rex with multitrack, I believe that you will have a superior product!
Thank you for your love of music...our music!

Thanks! The Studio ProFiles do have not only stereo rex but also the first ever multitrack rex too (AND access to the individual hits of the kit).Walker wrote:Squids,

For download though we will also make stereo hits from the kits available too I think so people of all budgets can make use of some of these great grooves in various ways.
Great post by the way. I like to read user feedback like this. Constructive with some appreciation on top. Thanks.

Squids,
Are the full versions of the Studio Profiles volumes in Rex format? I looked on all of Sonic Reality's press stuff and all of the Profiles sites and it doesn't say Rex anywhere?
The only reason I'm interested in the Rex versions is because I do a lot of tempo changes...for video work, otherwise I would use the loops as they are.
By the way, I do have a lot of appreciation for your hard work! I LOVE all of the stuff your company has released and are going to release in the near future...believe me...I'm upset that I'm behind in buying your stuff!!!
Thanks again, a very satisfied customer,
Walker
