This is the best limiter i know of, and don't be fooled...
It's not only a compressor, there's a GREAT limiter in the output stage.
I use it as my last stage when i master and it beats the most i have tried of maximizers and limiters.
And by the way.... it's a great compressor too !
And please check out there other plugs as well.

for material with a strong predominant beat buzzmaxi3 is the best free option imo.

I would say this depends on the style of music and how much you intend to slam the limiter. I can speak from personal experience in the past week that none of the free limiters mentioned in this thread hold a candle to Elephant when you really push the limiter HARD. Many of those free limiters are great for more moderate use, but if you really have to get radio-level volume you're very quickly going to have to look at a pro limiter like Elephant, or perhaps one of the Waves tools if you like spending money. :hihi:

Waves L2. Haven't found a better one yet. I'm just not sure if it's availble only in masters bundle. But you get also great eq and multiband compressor.

Definitely Dynasone. I always use that on my tracks (dance, house and techno stuff) and it makes them sound absolutely great!

for mixing/recording i use pocket limiter and buzmaxi3

at the mastering stage i use ozone's limiter.

has to be said i don't really push any of them too hard, usually just to avoid clipping.
