Hi!
I've been trying to get SampleRobot to work properly in order to get some sounds from my virus down to a soundbank for reason. Maybe it's something that interests you guys here? Mainly for electro, house, trance etc. Free ofcourse.

Anyway, this software is lovely apart from the horrible 246 ms latency I get on every sample I try recording over to a file. I have messed around with every setting there is but no luck.

I just wondered if someone here had some experience with this software or maybe know another way to cut away around 245 ms in the start of a bunch of samples without editing them separately.

Help would be most appreciated

I have Samplerobot. Can you tell me what soundcard you are using and how much latency you get from it normally.I use an EMU 0404 soundcard and 1.5 GIG RAM and get great results using Samplerobot with latency at 4ms.You could also try e-mailing Christian at Samplerobot as he has answered many questions from me about Samplerobot and would be probably be able to help you better with this question than I could.

Well I use an Audiophile 24/96 with 6ms latency. I've also tried contacting the support but noone has answered.

Keep us updated on this please amblin, I was thinking about shelling out the cash for this, to possibly ease my sampling work...but not without knowing whether or not the support is good.

Whenever I have e-mailed christian at Samplerobot I usually get a reply within 1 day.First of all I assume you have Samplerobot version 1.57 altough version 2 willbe released soon.Recarding latency settings if you are using multiple velocities on a samplerobot project you need to adjust the latency setting on each velocity layer in the project,6ms which is the latency you mentioned you were getting from your soundcard.Let me know if this helps at all and I will e-mail Christian myself.I really do like Samplerobot and I am glad that I bought it and I would like to see it work for you as well as it has for me

Hi Amblin,

this is Christian from SampleRobot.
I assume you are using the demo version. In the demo version there is silence recorded before the samples start. If you have a full version you can go to the export menu and render all samples. Then the silence is eliminated. So there is no latency at all. All samples are cut exactely the way it should be.
