Hello everyone. Hoping I could get some help with an organ. In U2's Mysterious ways, anyone know what type of organ is being used or how I could achieve the same sound? I use FL studio and have the B4 II vst.
Any help is much appreciated

You must not expect too much I guess.
Many people will happilly download a small sample and tell you what they think.
But certainly not many will go at the shop to buy the U2 CD (which one BTW) just because you've asked your question.
And come on, you don't need a moderator to tell you were to post that.
You can browse through the forums and look at what they are geared at and then you can choose the one you feel is the most suited.
Does this make sense to you ?

My apologies, I have been apart of some forums where people get ripped for posting in the wrong forum, so moderators usually move the post.
The song is on their Achtung Baby Album, U2 being one of the biggest bands in the world, I guess I figured most people would know the track, my appologies again for not stating the album. A sample can be found here at amazon. Its a clip and the organ can be heard over the verse.
Thanx again

Try Nubile and/or Organized Trio, add a little bit of overdrive.Vox98 wrote:My apologies, I have been apart of some forums where people get ripped for posting in the wrong forum, so moderators usually move the post.

Why not try your NI B4, for fook's sake. An organ is about the simplest thing to program. I'm not near a copy of that song - all I can remember is that wah wah sound, but I don't think it's an organ.

Can't you just make this sound with B4 ?
I don't have B4 because it's too expensive for me , but i always thought (based on many reviews) that it is THE ultimate rock organ vst.

Are you talking about the verse organ or the choruses? If the verse, it's a really simple organ sound, your B4 will easily be capable of it. It has a touch of vibrato/trem/leslie, and medium amounts of overdrive, but there's nothing there that's hard to get.
Find a preset that's close, modify the eq/drawbars/overdrive/leslie to taste, the rest is just what it's doing in the mix.

Thank you for your responses, you have all helped. Like I said any help is greatly appreciated. Still new with all of this but learning very slowly. Getting the correct tone or effect is new to me also. I have been fiddling with the B4, guess I havent got the correct settings for the sound yet, but your tips help. Yes Beej, it is the verse im talking about and will try your pointers.
Thank you again. Hopefully I can post a clip of the results and get some feedback.
