Andrea Pettinao from http://www.pettinhouse.com/ offers for free some quality acoustic drum kits here http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=130251
My problem is that I dont have NI's Battery so I can't use them. I searched for possible solutions to automatically convert the kits to sf2 or sfz format with no luck. For a moment I thought I could do it with Vsampler's demo but it only imports *.kit files (I suppose a previous version's format) and not *.kt2 files.
Any ideas guys?
(I know I can do it manually for the sfz format, since the wavs are given along with the kt2 files but I was looking for an easier solution)

I think the Battery 2 format isn't widely supported yet (if at all), so I guess you'll have to do it manually. I would do so (having Battery 2 to compare), but right now I won't have enough time.

Thanx Sascha. I'm afraid it's time to practice my skils in sfz programming. If I find the time and patience to do it I'll let all the sfz-heads knowSascha Franck wrote:I think the Battery 2 format isn't widely supported yet (if at all), so I guess you'll have to do it manually. PS isn't it possible for Battery II to export in its former *.kit format? (that'd be my last chance ...)

Hi,
I'm sorry if I uploaded my sounds in Battery format and not in other popular format like soundfonts. I'm looking for a conversion or a good software for creating soundfonts.
Hope to have time to convert them. For the next sounds I promise to make everything for upload them in SF format.
Stay tuned because soon I'm going to upload professional MIDI patterns for the brush kits.
Thank you
Andrea Pettinao

Actually, Battery files are very easily imported (just drag and drop) into Kontakt where they map perfectly. They were made to do this. And I believe that Kontakt is the best selling sampler. So your format is pretty broad.pettinhouse wrote:Hi,

Of course, that's not to say that you shouldn't try to accomodate others...
Thanks again for your generosity with the drumkit samples.

Battery 2 kits won't load in any Kontakt version as it's apparently using a newer engine.

I tried the kits in Kontakt 2 and they import just fine. Thank you Andrea, great work.

Hi Andrea, no need to be sorry. You already gave us two very good gifts. If some of us dont have the required software to use them that's our problem.pettinhouse wrote:Hi,

I'm desperate for this Brush Kit, but I only have Kompakt which doesn't seem to load Battery 2 Kits
Can anyone with Kontakt 2 load the kit, but then save it as a Kontakt 2 file?
Maybe that will then import into Kompakt (or Halion 3 which I also have)
...or if anyone has converted this to sfz or sf2 let me know..pretty please
Cheers

That certainly won't work as the current Kompakt engine isn't even at 2.x.oddbods finger wrote: Can anyone with Kontakt 2 load the kit, but then save it as a Kontakt 2 file?![]()
