those skins are really nice.
signal flow, etc.
but the font stuff has
too much anti-aliasing
for real readability
(presumably standard-photoshop).
feel drunk, although i'm sober.

400 % resize with no algos brings it to light (imo).
Cheers,

The backlash begins!
I agree with you guys, I've already mentioned in the main Oatmeal thread that the anti-aliasing is standard Photoshop and isn't all that good. There are ways around this but I've spent enough time on this skin for now, I was originally just going to reskin it not completely revamp the workflow! I'm now involved in other projects so there will be no updates to these skins for a while unless there's an actual mistake somewhere or Fuzzpilz updates the synth.
The skin is more than useable in it's current form I think it's a wee bit of an exaggeration "too much anti-aliasing for real readability". If you are in any doubt what a control does the readout at the bottom tells you when you mouse over anyway. Also, as I've already said; you're all free to do your own skins based on my rearranged oms file if you like the layout but want different graphics.

That's because you stated ALL skins looked blurry.. And the very next reply, ezee told you about the anti-aliasing...P.T. wrote:I was saying it was blurry in the other thread and people were telling me it was my monotor.
I felt like I was lost alone in the twilight zone.
Make up your mind..

the text is quite blured, s simple sharpen in psp makes it better, a true type font would work better.. im sure there are some free ones.
great wotk by the way.
im shite at skinnin, unless it involves rizzlas..

P.T., you do like to exaggerate! "Lost in the twilight zone"!P.T. wrote:I was saying it was blurry in the other thread and people were telling me it was my monotor.

You got responses from both me and Fuzzpilz within a few posts of yours. As as Fred-Hal said I agreed in the very next post the Text appeared slightly blurry on my skin because of Photoshop's Crap algos. I only brought your monitor into it because you said all the skins were blurry. With some of the alternative skins having almost no anti-aliasing this meant a problem at your end. If you had said "the text on the ezee skin's look's blurry" neither Fuzzpilz or me would have even mentioned your monitor!

Expect a new "sharper" version later today. Then can everyone pretend it's perfect for a few days while I do some other work?
