I also appreciate the frequency and speed at which this developer releases updates. Very happy to be a customer ..

agreed! blew me away that ESC *did* this in the first place, but...(and I'm probabaly being more stupid than usual...asseca wrote:BTW, the ExSC's built-in VSTi sample converter is already quite powerful
and don't get me wrong, ESC is amazing. It's the first converter to impress me as much as Awave did back in the 90's...but is there no help docs beyond the shortcuts listed on the help dropdown? It
isa very intuitive program, but I would have thought there was some other docs with it...this vsti converter thing has been the first that I've neededany help, though

I haven't done so yet, but if the presets in question are .fxp or .fxb, then Chainer should work. Load the synth you want into Chainer VSTi inside ECS's VSTi converter, and load presets via Chainer's load function as host.manytone wrote:hey blortblort
Yes i have found the same problem ...How do we change presets on instruments that do not have a built in preset loader? anyone?
Other than that issue, it is pretty intuitive. We love our EXSC here!
Thanks Wlod!

Heh
always a workaround... Thanks John
Surely though there has to be a way to do this without the extra bit of other product involved. Wlod may provide an answer soon i hope. Or if it is not there already perhaps he will provide a solution. I'll drop him a Mail. (Edit ...Mail has been sent asking Wlodzimierz about this and pointing him to this post .. he then can see all our words for him)
Not that it really matters here at the moment anyways .... I am too busy sampling Real Instruments and Vintage Hardware at this time, but everytime i fire up the VSTi convertor i have wondered about this.

Hey, thanks for the tips, guys! Even though "the Chainer method" is kinda like reaching around your butt to get to your other elbow- It works like a champ!
And yes, thanks again Wlod! The VSTi converter turns hours worth of work into a finished usable product literally in seconds. So Far, I've used it for sf2 and nki formats and it's conversions are flawless. Even if we have to stay with the chainer method, I don't know of anything that even *does* this! Amazing!

Hey,
Nothing against Chainer - which is very cool, but you can do the same thing with eXT (and a whole lot more) and it's $10 less. For me personally, eXT loads quicker and is easier to use.

You are, of course, quite right. I don't use EXT because it's so deep in its own right that it demands to be used as an end in itself and I don't have the time it deserves to be fully mastered. One of these days...algodon wrote:Hey,

However, I brought up Chainer because it's what I use for VSTi sampling, now to be replaced by ESC.

Hello all.
Does anybody have any experience with converting complex, commercial GIG/ Kontakt libraries to sfz format with V3. It's supposed to handle keyswtching etc. and I wonder how well it works
