Very nice work on the UI, grymmjack.

And now bring on the amp sim ;)
Thanks Sascha.

It's gonna be a little bit for the new UI, but maybe you could convince Joe to release the improved plug without new UI? I mentioned that to him yesterday at the bar and he had entertained the idea himself too.

Post

Yeah, bring it on anyways, I'll gladly enjoy the new UI later on.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Old UI would be sufficient!

It's the sounds that count of course :)

Post

Interesting - do these work in realtime then?

Post

Yeah, I'm all for early release and then a UI update later too. :)

The audio triggered synths work in real time - and they track great from the 5th fret up or so. Way better than pitch to MIDI I think.

How freakin' cool is that ! Amazing tracking. A childhood dream come true.

Post

I was getting noticably more stable tracking using a single coil in neck position on a strat than with a humbucker in neck position on an Ibanez. Not sure why but there were almost no glitchy things with the strat and double-stops seems to be more stable that way, too.

Again, this is pure fun in a VST. I'll be using this for years to come. It just makes you want to play which is never a bad thing.

Can't use any of the fretted synth instruments with my baritone..

Hehe :D That childhood dream was mine too, damn that goes way back :) That is why I want so bad to make this work! It will :D

And YES the FreeAmpSE v1.5 will be released before the new GUI (I know it will take some time for Rick and I to get the new UI right) but we will! I know I have the heart, and now I believe he (Grymmjack) does too :D V2.0 it will be :)
Give me a bit of time to clean up the presets, add the phase shifter, fix the sync page, fix the delay and it will be out :D

Thanks to all for the replies, any suggestions let me know?
And BTW if you like the new tracking let me know ? After freeampse is done I can add this tracking with the velocity control for the filter to the exsiting three synths, which should make them much more playable (the noise Osc's should be cool)??

Peace

Was thinking about that one :?: One question? did you re-adjust the input level when you switched between guitars. In all testing I have noticed a huge differance between different guitars pluged into the same DI,Preamp setups (all needed re-adjusting of there levels)

Just curious :) want to make this work for all.
