OK, over 10 votes now - what's the signal chain?
All done in real time in Chainer at IIRC 44100.

1 Posihfopit (one band) - LoShelf 2.1,36.908,-15.0 dB

2 Mnoznik - My own Synthedit extremely simple signal multiplier - multiply by 5000 (if you have a host or a plugin that allows entering very high (ridiculous) amounts of gain by hand then you dont need it) - i can upload the plugin if you want it.

3 Digitalfishphones Floorfish set on init preset (tubelike magic begins here)

4 Sir - everything on default dry off, wet as high as possible without clipping.
impulse - Vox Tonelab (all) - BLACK 2x12 & TWEED 4X10.wav

5 Little bit of reverb - Glaceverb size min, bass max, dry 50%,wet one or two knob frames above min, residual factor everything min, texture 55%,absorption 100%,reflection 10%,density 60 %,width 55%

6 TLs_Maximizer,EQ match and fft filter to cut unwanted lows.

edit:
I forgot about the gate/expander:
Step 0.5: Helium Gapanessor or CortexExp attack 2 , release 50 ,low 100%, everything else 0%.

Wow looks like you did a great job here.
Make sure to save it as a preset or something.

Yeah, that's great! I've been doing something a little bit like that using a POD 2.0 blackpanel impulse in Boogex along with other plugs for gain, compression, and distortion (I have posts w/screenshot posted twice around here someplace but I can't find them with KVR search all blinky like it is right now). That gain multiplier plug does sound like it might be handy, Mutant!

Warning !

This plugin can damage your hearing and/or equipment.
Use your brain and/or a limiter and you'll be ok.

Thanks, but IMO 99% of credit goes to Digitalfishphones for creating Floorfish.

Really cool sound Mutant.

But why do you need that much gain? I'm curious.

If you're talking about that 5000 - i just entered a stupid number and liked what i heard.

The result is what counts.

oh and that 5000 are not dBs - its just a number - you can try 500 or 5000000 if you want.

I think the important thing to learn here is that that amp isn't wort $2k :)

Post

Well without the 2k hardware amp, the sound wouldn't exist. Because it wouldn't have been modelled by VOX.

Yes i know - some people say it is overpriced , but some say tht it is a best amp on this planet.

OH CRAP LIST PRICE: $3700 !!!!!

$3700 = 2-3 years worth of high quality pharmaceuticals, protein powder, creatine and other supplements for my other hobby - powerlifting

The thing with the Soldano being that you can actually play it live. Quite something if you are a guitarist, no?

I find it quite a lot overpriced though, especially regarding the less than stellar flexibility.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

It would be awesome if we could play through this setup live though. Perhaps in the future???

Chainer and all other ingredients = rock stable (at least on my comp), change sir to Pristine Space and you can play it live.
