are there any plugins that are known to make live crash on startup. i try to run it and it scans all my plugins and then says a fatal error has occured and to save my proects differently.

seems like I had that problem with the latest version of Live 5 and had to revert back to the earlier one.

Try deleting your preferences .cfg & then restarting it (to reinitialise everything), possibly.
Other than that, just remove plugins one by one & try it.
I've tried lots of freebies & never come across one yet that crashes live in that manner.

For the record, i do have problems using the CLassic plugs (classic effects) and Dr FusionV2. Occasionally, the Gsynths will act up and freeze live.
I am using 5.01.
