Title says it all. I created a project in a folder on my c: drive, but I want to move it to a different directory on my d: drive. Now, if I just use "Save as", Cubase still puts all my freeze files and everything in the audio pool to the old folder on c:

How can I change the project folder in Cubase SX3??

Hmpf. Sometimes reading the manual should help indeed, no?
Also, in other cases looking around and having a bit of a clue might help.
Ever looked into SX' "file" menu? There's clearly some "save project in new folder" entry. Wondering about what this is doing? Well, maybe you should check it out...

I really don't like coming through as an asshole, but this is one of the first things one should check out in any sequencer. And the manual is pretty clear on that as well.

Well, this has never worked for me before, but I just moved the project and the folder and decided "f**k it, I'll just move the audio crap when I'm finished with it" ... but what do you know, the folder changed with it :s ... I'm telling you, I've tried this probably 50 times and nothing has worked.

And btw, I have probably read the Cubase manual more than most people, I'm up to 7 times now (meaning I've read it through and through like a book, I've searched through it probably a thousand times) :D ... There is nothing in the manual about moving project... probably because it's so simple, but never seemed to work on my computer.

Sorry for this silly question

Why wouldn't moving a project not work? What message is coming up?
Besides, you could just move things manually in explorer. Assuming that you didn't use the same folder for multiple projects that is (which would be quite stupid anyways).

FWIW, you can't exactly move a project from inside Cubase. You can copy it though (in various ways), then delete the original.

In the file menu choose the "Save project to new folder" option
You will now be able to create a new folder on the drive of your choice.
You can also choose to remove unused files and freeze edits etc if you wish.
