FL Studio has ghost channels so you can see what's going on in the other channels easy, and also can change piano roll tracks from the same window if that might be of any help.
Always remember that others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.

nope - you can change what's visible and what's editable any time from within the piano-rolltorhan wrote:Sonar (if I understand you correctly). You'd just have to give 'focus' to the proper track before editing.

D-Fusion: Gotta admit, I really like Home Studio. But out of interest, do you like the simplified transport bar at the top? You know you can remove it and have the standard Sonar style transports there? I just find the HS transport takes up a lot of space.
[edit - on another note, the notes in the Sonar 4/HS piano roll look so much clearer and well defined (black outline, sharp edges) than the ones in Sonar 5, why did they have to change it?
The notes and track clips look awkward and ugly now.]

That is what i like about sonar (That you change the way it looks, and only put up the things you use most).
I have tried the other transport bar also, but it is to messy for me since i like it simple & clean .

Yes, highlight multiple tracks, then I believe double click on the one you want in 'main focus' and it'll show you the notes for ALL tracks in the piano roll. Comes in handy for me when I'm editing drums because I record seperate tracks for each drum itself, and it's easy to see where I have 5 drum strikes at the same time, which would be next to impossible.even7 wrote:really?1 i know cubase pretty well, but i never came across this option...jupiter8 wrote:Cubase does.Just checked.

You don't even need to doubleclick in Cubase. Select whatever you want and press return, done.

Alas, I can change the colors of the notes, but not the darkness of the outline or strength of the '3D' effect which made notes stand out against the grid a lot better in previous versions. At least, I can't seem to find an element in the color item list that specifies this.D-Fusion wrote:You can change thatfandango wrote:[edit - on another note, the notes in the Sonar 4/HS piano roll look so much clearer and well defined (black outline, sharp edges) than the ones in Sonar 5, why did they have to change it?The notes and track clips look awkward and ugly now.]

I know -- I'm trying to explain it to a non-Sonar userjens wrote:nope - you can change what's visible and what's editable any time from within the piano-rolltorhan wrote:Sonar (if I understand you correctly). You'd just have to give 'focus' to the proper track before editing.![]()
