I've sorted out a few more of the layout issues.

I still haven't got the auto email sorted, so if you register, it might take an hour or so before I notice and initiate.

How are the winamp links etc now?

I am interested to find out if the times change to local times if you register. The new event system does make it clearer what show is on now and next but it would be better if the times where zone friendly. If they are not there are a few settings I can try. (I will fill in the show content info as I go)

Nobody has commented on the IRC page. Is it a bad idea or is it not working.

Bendybones is doing a real good job of getting new material, the new artist list is on the links page.
Checkout who we are missing. I'll fix is to regged users can add artist links if they recommend new contributers regurarly.

I basically don't download any tunes unless they are already contributing. So i miss out on 90% of the music posted here.

In fact even with contributers, I only manage to keep up to date with a handful of people.

I think another system needs to be put in place.

Maybe volunteers who could recomend a few artist each week,I don't know . But I do know that no one has ever not wanted their music played, but it takes somebody else to mention it before it happens

Once everything is in place, new tunes, new reviews, new artists, Featured artists, top tens etc, will all be accesible via a tidy blog/newsletter. See the news page, how news from different sections are combined into one blog-roll.

I would reckon that it will take another month or so before things are running totally smooth. Then we try an attact non-musician listeners.

for them we will need all kinds of things that seem unimportant here in the forums. Artists info, pics, new release info PR etc.

This new site will make all of that really easy. But it will be necessary to have the system of communication between EMCradio and its conntributers fine tuned, so that we can best present you guys to the public.

If we don't have your latest release and a bit of info (most likely drawn from your kvr post) then we will not be the hot of the press,cutting edge project that we aim to be.

So I am looking for volunteers who will join Bendybones and take on the repsonsability on behalf of EMC in finding new material, contacting new conntributers and keeping up to date with established conntributers.

As for your reward, anything that EMCradio can do for you, just ask.

Next I will be re-introducing the jingles and activating a few of the schedule scripts for the radio.

If anyone is interested in doings some 10-20 seconds jingles with the following titles,it would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone makes a jingle for EMCradio they can also make one for themselves, if they want.

For the future I will be implementing album art thumbnails, so it might be a good time to start thinking about it.

Still haven't implement the dedications page or the top ten requests. I'll leave them until we have totally debugged what we got so far.

Man, I've still so much to do, I still haven't started on the Chrysalid remix, and there is no way I'm gonna be able to enter the comp again this month. Best I can do is the reviews.

Techbot, even though I gave you the links of some of my longer songs some time ago, only the short kvr-contest entries are listed and played at EMC.

Btw., the new design of the radio is better and clearer than the old one.

Well, I have spent some time on the site and I can't find out how to play the damn music. (I even registered and was able to log in). This is a problem. There are a couple of people out there even dummer than me!

It should be extremely obvious how to listen to the music.

I'm renewing my investigation into EMC's links and I can
right-click the winamp pay button and save the .pls then open in VLC
player but if I just click it it brings up a page that says this, like
everyone else is getting:

I like the idea of the IRC though it makes me wish I was around reliable
wireless even more now.

Who are we?
We run a 24 hour Internet Radio Station

the Artists link is OK now, BUT...
- I can't find the one I'm looking for (Djet) allthough I saw him on the request page earlier. This may be caused by..
- artist names may vary from KVR nicks (as in my case - my one man's band is called Sonic Love), maybe you could show both, or only the artist name?
- not all of the artists are sorted alphabetically

Jeff registarttion is not required to listen to the station. One should only have to click on the winamp button at the bottom left.

I don't understand how the winamp button could still not be working.

For text to show in your browser means the file has been parsed, this most likely means that your browsers cache needs to be cleared. It is not possible for a server to parse the file to one person but not another. It does not parse for me. Does the button work for anybody? Glassback?

On the other hand if your browser tries to download the file then you need to install winamp or another player that reads pls files. Most do at this stage.

Other than that I'm at a loss. Can anyone else help here?

I got this too. By the way, once this is sorted out, this should be obvious: Something like "CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC NOW"

have you emptied your cache?

What player are you using?

@Runagate you should be able to log on.

If not I can delete the account and you can try again. Once you reg, wait for an email directly from me, ie not automated.

I will sort out the auto emailer so new passwords are requestable in a day or so.

If anyone is posting to say they have problems, please indicate whether you have emptied your browsers cache, and what player you are using.

I have been down to an internet cafe and it works there!!!!!!!

No go for me.

I cleaned out the cache.

I think the only player I have on this computer is Windows Media Player, so maybe that is the problem? If so, it should tell you.

Do I need to download/install Winamp?
