You misquoted me there .. it should say "loosely derived" 
I didn't want it to be the "bugfixed version" of iXT , which it isn't and hopefully doesn't come across like that.
I liked the color impression iXT superficially gave to me , the icons and some bitmaps
but went for a little less unique and homogenized it to have something different finally.
It'll probably end up in losing the icons and bmps for something else ... and maybe losing the "derivation" completely.

Your version definitely looks better, my futile attempt at making blue lcd value boxes was not only unsuccessful but also plain ugly. I really dig At the Beach, prolly keep it as default until my superpro megaskin is complete
As this was my second venture into skinning applications, I honestly feel like gaining a lot from people remixing my skins - I see things that my inexperienced eye fails to see when working on them myself.

have i mentioned how much i like the buttons for iXT (and 'at the beach' )? very simple, yet really effective; i love the way you used the subtle shadows and stuff so they look like they are depressed when active; neat well done, too.

next in the line of my mono-ish skins ... a LITTLE lighter this time and with some new icons ... a few tweaks to do tomorrow (gradients on buttons etc are still a tad dark for example) but a preview seems in order ...

well ... im done for now on the new lighter skin ... and pretty pleased with the way things worked out for once ... actually TRIED to adhere to some of my stated GUI beliefs for this one ...
... as ever any feedback / errors / oversights more than welcome ... better quality pics this time too ...
