think cyan is a reaktor ensemble from one of the elktronik instrumenks pakages
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

It's from EI2. I used it on the song Gibberish located at http://riley.wusik.com/ericj23 wrote:think cyan is a reaktor ensemble from one of the elktronik instrumenks pakages
You can dload or stream. There is nothing but ManyTone's Ultimate Bass Kit http://www.manytone.com/ going through Cyan at the begining of the tune, then it turns into Gibberish.

no, just pure artsacoustic reverb straight out of the box ... iirc i did not use any (or at least not much) spread or attack on this preset ...Animus wrote:brok,
Did you use any compression on the long reverb sample? The reverb sounds so "fast" and tight, and more percussive sounding then the source if that makes any sense. IS this what those spread/attack settings do in AAR?
and no, attack and spread are not applying compression, they influence the "envelope"-behaviour of the reverb, meaning the nonlinearity on the timeline within the given decaytime ...

repost:
wasn't there a thread a while ago, where someone posted a dry, clannad/enya like vocal snippet?
if someone knows, i'd really like to try it out with the aar ...
so if anyone could provide a link, i'd be thankful!

please, anyone

Not much related, but I did a quick tune using cthumusic reverb 'ideas' :

hum, still learning how to find a way to automate z3ta+ velocity in Renoise : )

I have found this thread very interesting indeed...it has caused me to explore a lot of things in regards to CSR, AAR and other things. I've actually learned quite a bit about reverbs and CSR in particular.
I tried to mimic Brok's reverb in CSR...in fact, I pretty much translated/duped then tweaked the settings.
The sequence sounds fuller in AAR but the same settings in CSR sound more transparent, with less harmonic additives. While I like AAR for this sequence, I think the transparency is more of what I'm looking for most of what I do. BUT...AAR is definitely on the list of future "must have" plugs for what I've seen it can do.
I got the closest to the sound using, of all things, AT2
I'm a guitarist, what can I say.
I could get the overall sound but not the crisp attack. In CSR, I could get the attack but not the overall sound. However, I think I could tweak the LFO in CSR to get what's lacking but I can't really tweak AT2 to get what's lacking...
I've had a boatload of fun and learned quite a bit about both plugs because of this thread. The only negative is that I'm pretty nuch sick of the sequence at this point so I doubt I'll try any more at least for a while
Thanks Brok!
