CSR - pants down

I got the closest to the sound using, of all things, AT2 I'm a guitarist, what can I say.

Yea, the AT2 "rack" hall reverb is smoother than the CSR hall reverb. They are definitely not cross-pollinated algos, from the sound of it. Too bad they only gave the most basic controls. With more parameters, that AT2 reverb would be worth a decent chunk of change in itself. I'll probably be using AT2 strictly as a reverb for some projects.

yeah, thanks, allready found it myself now ... but as he claimed, he took it from another, allready reverb-applied cd of clannad, thats not a good startingpoint anyway ...
hmm ... i have a lot of vox files from recordings myself, but i was hoping someone could provide an enya like dry vox snippet ... and that in good quality ...

I don't know if it's better, but I think it's more of the smooth long tail hall (closer to your long AAR setting) than the CSR hall. It's not what I woiuld call an outstanding reverb, but it's useful.

however, i dialed up another reverb on that same sequence, now on the lexicon 224 ...
not sure which one is better though (don't have the cleanest ear anymore as i had a hard day...)

Okay, here's a new twist: after having (either directly or by implication) beaten up on CSR previously in this thread, how about someone post something (anything, not necessarily a hall) that shows CSR off in a flattering light? I'm inept at uploading things so I'm probably out fo the running, but does anyone have a file made with CSR that displays the "wow" factor (on any of the four modules)?

That was a yummy take, even the AAR seems a little harsher compared to this 224, the 224 seemed to smoothen out the instrument and the tail was more fuller as well. The sound was more constant?

It's all subjective really. I would be more then happy with either.

that was the intension of this thread initially, frippertronix ...
up to now there simply was nothing with the wow factor (imo) ...
but maybe there are too less users that own it allready .. the few who do own it either posted some files here or they don't have the chance to upload, or they simply don't care ...
hopefully there will come up something ... i'd be interrested in anything that the csr does, cause i cannot test it myself because of lack of the dongle ...

I actually like this thread. I already checked out a lot of files posted and look forward to hearing even more. Also looking forward hearing hype, I mean CSR
