Hi
yesterday I got a bunch of loops in rex2 format.
So I copied the content of the cd to my hd. I listened to some of the loops by chosing "import audio file" in Cubase SL2 then hovering a file and listen to a preview. Everything worked as expected.
This morning I stood up, eager to start making some music, but now the import and preview thing in SL2 says "error or invalid format".
WTF??
I'd really appreciate some advice, even a guess on what may be wrong.
Thanks!
REX2 in Cubase madness

update to version 3. Rex support is awesome in v3.
But I hope someone would suggest some immediate help to your problem

Tools are tools, they don't produce anything...

Hi
I found the fix after a little reading. It wasn't really broken. It turns out that the first samples I correctly played were in the older rex format, which is why the others (24 bit) wouldn't work. I installed the latest rex .dll from Propellerheads and now I got everything working.
As a side remark: I am a bit nervous to upgrade Cubase to v3. Even though I got a fast machine, (P4 2,6 Ghz with 2 Gb ram), I'd rather use the horsepower I got on vst's and sample libraries rather then new fancy features. Yet I know I have to upgrade, it won't last long before they are ready with a v4, right?
