i know there are vst to dx adapters, but any for the other way around?

Glad I bummed into this thread.

I was wondering how to get DX instruments and DX effects inside energyXT.

I had considered Console

But the free FFX-4 is hard tp beat

Anyone using the FFX-4 inside energyXT?

FFX-4 does NOT support DXi, only DirectX effects. Other than that, it's great, and I use it all the time with no issues.

AFAIK, yes, Console is the way to go. Kinda sucks needing a full modular host sitting inside eXT just to wrap an instrument, but that's life, I guess.

Not meaning to hyjack but i'm actually looking for a free vst to dx adapter. Or at least a cheap one or demo because i won't need it very often. Any recommendations would be welcome.

I've tried to use this myself with P5's Tempo Delay...unfortunately it refuses to tempo sync with this plugin in EXT. Either I missed something or it's not possible...

Tempo sync was introduced to the DX standard pretty late (ie round about the same time as DXi). There's not that many DX plugins support it at all, and I dont think FFX4 does at all; its too old.
