All hosts with on-top-of-track automation splines?

I would like to find out all the hosts that have automation splines right on top of the tracks (both MIDI and Audio).
The ones that I already know have this are:
- Logic
- Ableton Live
- Samplitude/Sequoia
- Reaper
- Acid
Any other hosts have this feature? I got so addicted to this feature that it is probably my #1 request.

Cubase/Nuendo
Tools are tools, they don't produce anything...

thanks for the info guys. However, doesn't cubase/nuendo have hidden automation tracks (ones that you expand on the bottom of each track) ?
Too bad I don't own a mac because I've heard great things about DP.
Looks like I will have to give Tracktion another try. Anything else?

Audition v2 moves the automation from on top of the audio track to automation lanes drawn below the track. Makes em much easier to use than the ones in prior versions IMO.

If I am understanding you correctly, you'd like the automation envelope to be superimposed (stacked) ontop of the actual midi/audio data track right?superddman wrote:thanks for the info guys. If so then you're right, Cubase and Nuendo do not do that. They use individual automation lanes that are hidden/revealed within folders.
I think Sonar's implementation of automation envelopes is exactly what you are after. I hear that the new patch even fixes up most of the automation problems of the past.
I think Sonar's automation envelopes are the most user friendly I've seen in a sequencer. (Just my opinion though).

SONAR (and family) does (if I understand your question correctly).

Samplitude has automation splines, 16 per audio or midi track.
Each can be visible or hidden, active or not, and you can change their color
to whatever you want. It's really nice to be able to have, say, 5 curves
visible but inactive so your 6th visible, active on can be set and you only
hear the automation of that one but still see what's up with the others.

Acid does this also. The addition of freehand envelopes for version 6 is a real plus.
