GIRO, if you need any conversion/remapping help, let me know.

The noise floor is higher so the decay of a tom or kick - especially on the quieter, low velocity samples - gets more obviously noisy. When you use multiple outputs with compression and Eq to get the sound you want the noise from each output channel adds up unfortunately.

The new platinum kits sound tasty Giro - bring em on.
;-)
16, 24 bit you still have floor noise no matter what.
Right now I can hear noise on a Pro 24bit Sample from a known sample library house.
Don't let that stop you.
NOW! Truncation noise? not on these!;)

Thanx for the offer..
But the House that is planning on distributing my samples are gonna provide the convertion.
I have to map on HALion 1.0.3 and they will take care of the rest.. KONTAKT, BATTERY, SF2...

If I have to distribute the samples on my own!, them I will give you a PM.

Thank you for these exellent drums!
One question... I've downloaded the sfz files from "http://www.drealm.info/sfz/GIRO/". In what directory should I put them?

Post

Make sure you extracted all the samples with full pathnames. You should have names like G&S CW-Drum Kit-1\SnareFX\SNR-OFF-V01-CustomWorks-6x13.wav in some folder - for example, on my system, it's under "GSCW DRUMS Library Vol.1". In that folder, create a folder called whatever you like ("sfz" is my suggestion) and in there ("sfz") put the mappings. So you end up with something like this:

GSCW DRUMS Library Vol.1\G&S CW-Drum Kit-1\SnareFX\SNR-OFF-V01-CustomWorks-6x13.wav
GSCW DRUMS Library Vol.1\sfz\GSCW-DrumKit-1.sfz

Sorry the page with the files on doesn't explain this particularly well. If I remember, I'll update it. Thanks for posting! :)

Spe3D has taken away the sample download section from the Auditorium due to too many freeloaders just getting the freebies without ever popping in to even say thank you or so.

Drums in my latest entry at the monthly contest ( Oddity ) provided by GIRO (had some very good comments for them by PM). I think the fit very well for heavy rock stuff.
If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain

I have plenty of spare storgae space - do you know what the bandwidth hit was per month ? If it's within what I have spare I'd be happy to host . . .

Post

Same here, I have some storage space availlable, and if the amount of traffic is reasonable I'd also be willing to host this.

You should in any case ask GIRO in the first place whether that's ok with him.

I was one of them. Yes, it's great stuff. There is also a reason refill that's wonderful with a cymbal-preset that hits everything! Thanx vemu for that!
