I had the day off work today, so I threw this little piece together. Sounded good until i :smack:'d it into a 128kbps mp3.

It's mostly 7/8, with a few odd little timesig-nuances and polyrhythms

featuring the wonderful Yamaha9000 kit for battery, another great freebie from Pettinhouse.com

also used: Trilogy, Battery, Crystal, Rez, NuBiLE, Kjaerhus classics, tBt pocketlimiter, and my g-tar!

lyric: "i would have you any-other-where"

Anything more complicated than 7/8 hurts my head.

So here is:

The Magnificent 7/8

Oddity

Made by guitars, bass, drums, two piano notes and lots of OctBUZ. Played in 10/8 (or 5/4 if you prefer)

OK, here's mine.
I called it Dispril, because it gave me a headache trying to get it right. It's still not quite right, but I'm leaving it here.

5/8 intro and 6/8 chorus.

Enjoy.

Okay, a little on the twee side but I was trying to come up with something that didn't necessarily 'shout out' it was in an odd time.
Not sure if it worked but it's in 5/4.
And it also features (especially for Barnadine as I know how he loves them  ) a guitar solo!

 Life Is Sh*t

Life is shit
Smile and get over it

Life can suck
Laugh when you're out of luck

Sometimes the world's a dreadful place
You're just another hopeless case

Life is unfair
So find yourself a millionaire
Or a billionaire

Features -
GSCW drumkit
Pack of Tescos dried rosemary
Little Tyke Piano/Xylophone

First time I've entered in a long time. Haven't really done anything musical since this time last year when I quit playing live. But having had a few days off to extend the Easter break I've knocked this together...

Weird Shit Happens.

It needs a lttle more "something" but I don't have time to do it. So rather than abandon it I'm entering it as is. It's written in 5/4 but being so slow it kind of comes over as as faster 10/4.
Steve.
I know I have got a negative edge, that’s why I sharpen all the others a lot.

Here a little romantic 3/4 ditty:

Five isn't that big of a stretch for me as I often play/write things in 5/4 or 5/8, but this month's production was! Still pretty shite compared to some of the real pros around here, but production-wise it's one of the most involved tracks I've done (a real learning experience).

Anyway, here's:
Wombat Fight

http://www.markleford.com/kvr/tracks/06 ... _Fight.mp3

Used lots of synths and FX this month:
Sonar 5P
Reaktor 5 (2 instances)
Wusikstation 2
Sfz
Roland GrooveSynth
Sonitus compressor (2 instances)
Izotope Trash (3 instances)
Izotope Ozone 2
PerfectSpace

…and my geetar of course… :)

Soaring

Switches between 3/4 and 5/4.

No idea what you'd call it. Kind of prog rock, but not really.

VSTs used: SampleTank 2, Sytrus, GPO, ZR3, Kjaerhus Classic fx

Well, this is a bit piss-weak for my first ever entry, but I had this bass idea when I got my bass, and thought I'd expand on it...

If I had more than half an hour, it would have been great!
