Need a killer accordion sound!

I haven't. That's why I have a real small scale accordion (musette?).
There's just no way to emulate the effects you can do with the bowel movement: the reed velocity and pitch dynamics would need a physical model to get it right.
There are some accordion sample libraries but they sound far too clean and inorganic compared to the real thing.

While I agree with Kingston (played myself the real thing for some years as a kid), I'd give Peti a try. It offers some unique features.

er... i don't play accordion, but i'm pretty sure it's called a "bellows." your bowels are the place where that stinky... "stuff" comes from. and a "bowel movement" is, you know... when that "stuff" moves out of your bowels into that large ceramic bowl in your bathroom. There's just no way to emulate the effects you can do with the bowel movement...

shite! ...I mean crap! (nonono kingston no more bowel references)
yes. bellows. I meant bellows. a lapse of coffee intake.
I wouldn't want to speculate on the physical modelling of bowel movement: the "reed" velocity and pitch dynamics (direction of projectile).
uhhh,
I'll get me coat.

I wouldn't say killer sounds but search at http://www.sf2midi.com/ and you'll find some not-too-bad soundfonts.

Melodica (sounds a little similiar)

At first I thought you were trying to belittle the sound that comes out of the accordion, equating it to mere feces!

...in waiting for the first bowel movement physical modelled VST.
"pull my finger v2"
There actually is a fully featured and comprehensive commercial sample CD called "pull my finger" for, guess what?

I LIKE A LOT THE ACCORDIONS IN SAMPLETANK V.2. IT HAS A GERMAN, A FRENCH AND A RUSSIAN ACCORDION AND SOME OTHERS WHICH I DON'T REMEMBER NOW, BUT THEY SOUND PRETTY GOOD TO ME!
I am a victim of technology and I love music more than mu self. I live to serve her!

Sorry, but this whole thing sounds like a B-movie to me..."Attack of the killer accordions!"

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the thread, and I just popped in to tell them all, "Run for your tiny little lives, the killer accordians are coming!! Quick, find a GOOD accordian!!" But, alas, thay had played the "anal card" by the time I got here. And topic drift set in before the end of page one - a new KVR record?Trojan Badger wrote:Sorry, but this whole thing sounds like a B-movie to me..."Attack of the killer accordions!"
An honest suggestion: PETI, someone beat me to it. It does some pretty weird, freaky, reedy stuff.

The accordian patch on Hexter (DX7) sounds like the accordian used on the theme for the 90's TV show "Northern Exposure" if that's the sort of sound your looking for.
