POD's crunch is awesome... depending on your definition of Crunch. ;) As always, even with real amps, low gain is the key.

Yeah, but that only applies to the newer models. The v1 models weren't that shiny.

I can only agree, not knowing the old models.

I agree that your sim sounds the best, midiworks.

Now when the hell is it gonna be ready?

Wow.
Not my type of metal, but impressive tone, man!
AT1 hey? Just AT1? Nothing else but eq?
Must've taken DAYS to create that tone, then you must have eq'd the hell out of it

Too buzzy. Not fizzy, like many sims, but buzzy.

Let me know what do you think? :) Is it high gain enough, or should it be more agressive? :P
Very muffled sounding.

Can you please post any of the clean amp sounds.
... and slightly overdriven as well.

If it's not to much trouble.

IM assuming you are not being sarcastic!! :) but NO in fact I used no EQ whatsover, only the PArametric EQ in Amplitube. I forget what setting but I used a preset and then tweaked to my liking, I did have 4 seperate tracks, and with 2 of the tracks I copied them and tweaked a few things, such as I changed the mic from condenser to dynamic, and maybe a hair less gain than the other. So all in all it was actually 6 guitar tracks. As i said 2 were copied, ASs i was trying to create a sound of mic'ing 2 seperate amps, which I have done in the past to good success. And it worked out all right., I did find that If i used only one setting for all the guitars, they really sounded fake,,

My personal favorite for live tracking guitars is to use my 5150 mic'ed with a RODE NTK condenser, and then have a splitter running into a Marshall JCM 800( which has way less gain than the 5150) mic'ed with a SM 57, and when you mix the 2 it is a f**king fat sound, This is basically what I tried to do with ampl;itube, ONe with the condsenser on higher gain ,the copied track with lower gain running on a sm57(dynamic).

I don't go for total high gain in everything I do...I try to keep a thing called dynamics a part of the song, the same sound day in, day out gets old...Vervil was right, I like clarity...I have found that the longer I've played the lower I set my gain, thus the less distortion I need to get the job done (but also less noise which leaves more room for subtle dynamics) and the more dynamic my sound is...so I'm really not sure what your problem is with me offering an opinion on his pick-up positioning, it didn't seem to bother him and he had a good explanation...

Man, first off my "problem" with you was you said "why dont you put the 85 where it belongs in the neck" Which doesnt mean shit, as you should have learned by now, MOst pick-ups are made for a guitar, some are voiced with more highs for the neck and fatter for the bridge, but there is no rule that determines where they go, by no means, Thats what I was replying to.. SInce many times you post like you are the know-all and it gets old..

Also I like how you try to get up on your soapbox and talk about how you have so much dynamics in your playing, LOok man I have been playing for 20 years, and I post my heavy shit becasue thats what I feel like posting, but don't think I have no idea how to play other types of music. I play in jazz bands and blues bands which have plenty of dynamic, I actually use my volume and tone knobs :-o . and I play with almost no distrtion at all!!EVen more :-o..

well that could be, I did not warm up to the POD until a few years ago. :)

What's your problem man.
I asked politely and I already apologize for it. Don't know what is your problem but cool down man. I know this is internet but that dosn't mean you can go around and insult people. It only shows what kind of person you are.

I offer my opinion on his clip, I said that I strongly felt that the tone would sound better with an 81 in the bridge, of course that is sound better too me which is quite subjective. I further explained that perhaps what I thought sounded flat (though dull might of been better) too me might be because of that. He then replied that was the sound he was after, and he placed the pick-up there for that reason, so what more can I say? I can't judge his sound, so that was that...he had what I consider to be an awesome reason, because he likes how it sounds. Yet it seemed too me you were acting like I was attacking him. However I offered my opinion to him honestly and politely, tell me should I ask you permission to offer my opinions in the future?
