Thought about it, Kingston?? Excuse me, but the Amplitude Imposer is exactly what I said: two envelope followers with a gain.Kingston wrote:huh cookie? think about that for a second![]()

tl, I tried "Amplitude Imposer" and it make the job of "Dynamic clone". So, is not necessary to program ex-novo a plugin, but if Kingston tell that this job is relatively easy, I will try (Amplitude Imposer is good, but lack of a control on time reference lenght for the "cloning" of dynamics...
ps: Kingston, great your Website and music!

Thanks Ferfe Fuffu.
Since you found almost the perfect plugin for your job, instead of programming your own, you could also ask the author of 'Amplitude Imposer' to add that feature. Niall is known to make rapid updates to his plugins.

Kingston, I wrote to Niall http://niallmoody.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=35#35.
Only another little thing: the purpouse for what I searched a "Dynamic Clone" whas for restore partially the dynamic of a guitar solo lead part that, after the hard distortion effect, is very flatted-compressed.
So, with "Amplitude Imposer", I will try to modify the amplitude of the guitar distorted signal using a copy of the dry signal of guitar. It will work? Mistery

Not only it'll work, but it most likely will sound very cool.
Now excuse me while I go try this same thing as well. Great idea!

There is an amplitde to CC follower in my sig that you can use to 'sidechain' controls in a dynamics plugin such as a compressor or amp.

Soma, I have seen your VST: is a MIDI VST, right? In what way I can use it for purpouse that one wave track controlling another wave track?
To alls: some people has said to me that "Amplitude Imposer" is an expander with sidechain. Anyone know other VST expander with sidechain, so I could try and to make comparisons?

Well there's slim slow slider sidechain gate/expander. it's free and it should work.

Wow! That is a great idea!! I hope it can work in real-time (impose the guitar dynamics from before amp sim on the signal after the amp sim). A feature like that should be included on all amp sims.Ferfe Fuffu wrote:Only another little thing: the purpouse for what I searched a "Dynamic Clone" whas for restore partially the dynamic of a guitar solo lead part that, after the hard distortion effect, is very flatted-compressed.

Now - does anyone know how to get amp sims to do the tube amp "bloom" thing?
I just downloaded Amplitude Imposer too - I'll give it a try later today.

Sure, if by wave you mean an audio track playing a wave. Use one track as the input, map the CC that comes out of the plug to the Volume slider on the track whose amplitude you want to control.Collo wrote:Soma, I have seen your VST: is a MIDI VST, right? What host do you use? To be honest I've only used it in Xt so it would be nice to know how to make the plug easier for non-modular hosts.

Cubase SX3What host do you use?
Your plugins appear only in Midi VST insert, so I can apply it only to a Midi track. So, how the plugin can detect the dynamic of wave track A and then modify the dynamic of wave track B?
(but I'm very dummie on Midi, so maybe it is a stupid question, and by studying I'll find the answer
