Yes, It's me again. The person who kept asking about drop tuned sound. I ended up with a sample library triggered by Kontakt 2.

I'm revisiting again as I again heard good things about ManyGuitar. Besides, there are more sounds within your VSTi than a sample library.

Just 2 questions: -

1. Recently I've got to know Guitar Pro and I noticed I can solo guitar tracks from there and export it out to MIDI. Regular MIDI,...so will this work for your plug-in?

2. I've played a little on Real Guitar 2 demo and realised they can do 'Solo' and 'Chords'. (Honestly, the sound wasn't good). But, was wondering if similar feature is in MGuitar? Solo in the sense if you play C on the MIDI, it fingered the C tone on a string depending on which keyboard octave I played. Whereas Chord, it stums the full C chord like in guitar.

Hi Jess

You can import a midi file into your sequencer and play it through ManyGuitar but at this point ManyGuitar does not have a Midi - Chord Player Built into it. But that said ... A built in Midi Player is currently being developed for it. It will start out as a simple player with a bunch of Midi files to choose from ... Eventually we hope to develop it further into a Guitar playing aid that will help with sequencing chords etc.

The Real Guitar demo has a playing aid built in already so it can do things that ManyGuitar can't... But ManyGuitar can do things Real Guitar can't .... so they both have their uses at this point. We have sampled some real chords and strums for ManyGuitar and a few sets like this are included with it.

We have plenty of Plans and desires to develop ManyGuitar further. I expect as we add more features and up the version number, that we will need to up the Price too. At the current price of $89.99 it is a heck of a Bargain, but as we spend more time adding great things we may need to change the price a touch.

But that is undecided at this point. So it will remain $89.99 for some time.

Thanks
Paul

I've achieved this result by using Revitar2 fron CutterMusic, with Manyguitar. Revitar is a guitar modeller/simulator, so can be used with the ManyMiniAmp that comes bundled, with quite pleasant results.

Just a note on the ManyMiniAmp ....

It produces different sounds than the Amp Sim built into ManyGuitar. ManyMiniAmp is more of a special Effect in that you can Vary the speaker size in real time.

The amp sim in ManyGuitar is designed more towards proper guitar tones. ManyMiniAmp is designed towards new FX.

Anyways ...like i said .... we are working on the chord - playing aid to be built into ManyGuitar so this will make things easier. Also over time we may see more Amp modes etc in ManyGuitar.
Make sense?
Cheers

Thanks for your response and the responses from others as well.

I see. But, as long as if the MIDI is programmed in such a way it plays a C chord (a few MIDI keys coded), it does play accordingly and it will sound like C chord, right? I think this is fundamentally what most MIDI files out there have.

Probably a million dollar question....what Many Guitar could do that Real Guitar can't?

Hmmm, are you saying the current users would get the 'upgrade' for free?

Any chance of revealing a rough month this will MIDI-Chord thingy would be completed?

Yes in theory, but i can't guarantee midi from other programs to just work out of the box (but it should ...just know sometimes adjustments may be needed but this would be the same for any VSTi)

We are doing that here though with Midi files that we have created from scratch to go with ManyGuitar . These midi files came from Real Players playing their Midi guitars with ManyGuitar and recording the result to a midi file.

Well i guess the main thing would be that besides Acoustic Guitars, ManyGuitar has Mega Electric Guitar samples as well as a bunch of Incredible Bass Guitar Samplesets as well as an Amp Sim to further create sounds and FX all with incredibly Low CPU strain. And ManyGuitar does all that for $89.99.
But i won't knock Real Guitar as it is a cool plug as well.
They are different and each serve a purpose that the other does not. That's the bottom line.

Current users will get some of the new updates for free. There will be a point though ...say when we go to a new Main version number (Like Version 2) that the Price will go up. This will be though because of added content, Samplesets and Major new Features. Generally most companies will charge a price for users to update when a Major Version Relese includes so much more material. But as usual here at ManyTone any existing customer user has always received a better deal on new products. Don't forget also that every user who has purchased ManyGuitar so far has agreed that the Value for Dollar is Insane. We received an Award for this in CM and if we do increase the price down the road .... This Value will still be there in the new content!

No .... I only am giving a heads up that it is in development now. I will give more info once we have it all working and are ready to officially announce this.

Thanks again for the Questions
