these sound really good man! for the amount of layers and velocity you have I am thinking yea great! I always compare everything for drums to my Toon Track C&V^_- which is well the king but hey not free.
Great work!!! keep it up!

Pardon me, this belonged to Andrea's newer topic.
It wasn't my intention to bump.

Andrea, I don't know what to say!
GREAT kit, very natural sounding. Love it.

Thanks a lot!

As for the SF2/Z conversion - Battery is essentially Kontakt, so having changed the .kt2 file extension to .nki I had no problem in converting the kit using Kontakt->SF2/Z conversion in Extreme Sample Converter. I'm not sure if the patch information was converted properly (I'm at work at the moment and unable to check it) - but here's the resulting sfz file (to be placed in one directory with WAV files).

Big Thank You for the kit, Andrea! Feel free to use my sfz file if it's any good.

Pretty slick trick, Paulie - very useful information! :o

Unfortunately, it seems that a lot was lost (or gained) in the translation - it didn't sound right at all.

I converted the .kt2/.nki file to sfz using Translator Free (which did a better initial job than ESC) and made further tweaks (including adding a choke group for the hi-hats) and ended up with a decent sfz patch.

I don't have a means of hosting it, but I would be glad to email it to anyone who would like to put it up.

Big thanks to Andrea for offering this for free.

Cheers,

SWTrex, I'm always happy to have the sfz file on my site.

Try this:
1) Download Translator Free
2) Rename the .kt2 file to .nki
3) Use Translator Free to convert the .nki file to LM-4 or Battery1 format, either of which DR-008 supposedly can import.

No guarantees, just an idea.

check the wizards on your dr008 and see if there is a battery import module in there. There's one in mine, though I haven't tried it yet.

Post

damn, seems that import doesn't work for Battery 2, only the first version.

Do it like has been mentioned Ron.
Yeah, there's some manual remapping involved, but that'd be thc case either way, so you can as well do it by yourself.
