No worries.Spe3D wrote:. That's sorted then.
BTW, I think we're all artists, aren't we? As I said before, his site indicates a need for a free host until his new pay kit comes out. Several people have graciously offered to help out and 0 response. If he's not interested, he should at least let someone know - these are some damn fine drums, and people that want them aren't just gonna go away that easily. Remember, he came here offering the free drums in the first place, but they were pulled before a lot of people got them.
Best wishes

To be honest, I kinda know what Peter means about freeloaders. I used to occassionally post little sample packs for people, and out of the hundreds of downloaders only the same good few came back with any feedback. I even had one guy get arsy because he didnt like the samples!
There are so many leachers about who couldnt careless, and thats a real shame for the real enthusiasts like you and I Algodon. Lets hope that someone get us the thumbs up and we'll be to use this beautifully recorded kits once more.

Totally agree, TB. It's a shame that we all have to suffer for other's misdeeds, but I guess that'll never change. It's just that Peter perhaps thought we were all trolling for freebies, which wasn't the case.tee boy wrote: There are so many leachers about who couldnt careless, and thats a real shame for the real enthusiasts like you and I Algodon. I'm primarily a drummer - and a picky one at that - so I'm very keen on snagging these and would gladly pay a fair price. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford BFD, but so many people seem to have problems getting their heads around it that I'm hesitant to go that route - I'm not exactly the brightest guy. I use a Roland TD-6 kit that misbehaves well enough on it's own without throwing a new plug-in into the mix. Great samples like these are just what I've been looking for.

Stephen,
Whats your take on DFH Superior?
I could never get on with the original CD, yet Iv heard a few tracks done with this one that sounds great.

To be honest, I haven't thoroughly checked them out - just heard the demos. I demoed the original DFH some time ago, and remember thinking that the kicks and snares were great, but the toms were a just little synth-y sounding. That's a problem I have with most drum libraries - the toms sound fake - not sure why. I don't think they had maps for Roland either, although I could be mistaken. Also, I was put off by the fact that the drums were recorded by a heavy metal guy - stupid reason I know, but we all have our hangups.tee boy wrote:Whats your take on DFH Superior?
Thanks for mentioning these - DFH had kinda dropped off my radar, so I'll have to take another look and listen. The demos sound good, but you never know how much tweaking is involved. The great thing about the elusive free kit is that apparently, it sounds that good "out of the box", so to speak. I'm sooo tired of tweaking the hell outta drum samples only to have them sound like crap.
Cheers.

HE IS BACK!!!!!!!
GUYS! Slow down a bit! I hope that you have looked at my drum site! I do want to keep the free drum kit for download! ( you can see a picture of the mixed up drum set I sampled )
I have a Studio to run guys! www.gsrstudio.com
I've been upgrading, mixng, producing, buying new drums (TAMA SC), new mics (AUDIX set - D series)Etc... I do have a life guys
To be honest I thought this thread was long gone! WOW I love you too guys
Peter did a great job holding long enough the page for download! I'm very thankful for that. He did what he had to do!
I just read Sascha's email!
We will work on this matter together, All of us!
Vsampler will be hosting a version of the GSCW drum kit (free)
They better be ready for some serious hits! hehehe
I'm reading the posts! LMAO hahahah! I'm still here guys! I have a site, email MSNM etc... com'on! 3 persons have emailed me directly asking for the kit, Sascha is #4
I started the thread but for some reason I'm not getting an email with the latest posts. Now I know that GSCW still is ondemand. That is good news! Where is the contest thread?
I'm in the final mix test for the new drum set.
Once I have a NICE mix of all 8 mics, I will start sampling this baby. a set with Shure mics and then an other set with AUDIX DP5
NEW DRUM SET: Just like the free kit it will be a mixdown of all mics to stereo samples with bleed. It just works piriod! 24bit/48k
BTW I have BFD and DFH2! Sucks! They are the reason y' I did the GSCW drum kit!

Good to see you back, Salvador. Btw, I didn't ask for the kit, I allready have it. I was just asking you whether it's OK to share it with others. I could setup a torrent or so, that way nobody had to worry about bandwidth.

Like some other guys, I also used the GSCW kit for my entry in this months competition...
It's my 'go to' kit these days, so thanks very much.

If you set up a torrent I'll dedicate some bandwidth to seeding it for a while (once i've downloaded it - i've only got the refill version myself, which is very nice).

It's great to be hearing from you again, GIRO. I'm happy you are still trying to get the kits available for download again and glad you are working on the new kit as well. I'm looking forward to it. Keep it up!

Man, you are going to be some serious competition for the big boys with your new kit, heck, your free kit already puts them to shame.
Sorry about the tone of some of the e-mails, but ever since I heard your kit in the contest, it's been hard to think about anything else!
Good luck with new kit.

Cheers GIRO! I use BFD and find your kit to be an excellent fit. I have some project where it defines the groove in a way none of my other libraries can. So I ma glad to hear you are moving forward.

Bug after bug! (BFD) now they have the 1.5! its more stable but it is just not for me! the sound is not what I'm looking for! What was I thinking!?
So much space on the HD and for nothing!
DFH2 ( drums fron satan ) Never worked on my PC... total waist of $$! Now they did their own GUI and changed the name! I can still hear DFH2 on that new one! LMAO
I also reported lots of mapping errors. like the GM tom tom missing samples! etc
Any ways! No more Drum libraries for me! The only one I have my eyes on is the SID...
I Love that Scarbee sound!
Many are finding my kit more flexible and playable with way less stress for your PC
Also GSCW has samples that I have not yet found in other libraries, like, (Crash and roll) - (Tip Roll) - (Double Crash and roll) they are great for endings!
