Since we often receive requests for a Kontakt version (K2 Sample Library) of Vintage Keyboard Collection and Keyboard Gold Bundle we have considered a release, but so far it has been kept back because of the serious risc of piracing and low sales.

We therefore will offer to release product if we get more than 25 binding PREORDERS. If we however do not receive these numbers it will not be interesting for us to finalize and release this product. Both VKC and KGB could be ready for release in few weeks.

Price of VKC will be $299 and KGB will sell for $399. If you want to PREORDER it must be based on this price and not on a future "SALE" price.

Please send a mail to shop@scarbee.com and write: KGB Kontakt - PREORDER or VKC Kontakt - PREORDER depending on what product you want to order. If we don't get the right number of preorders release will be cancelled and you will not buy anything. If you at some point regeret the preorder - please send a mail with Header: REGRET.

VKC crossgrade will be $99 (it will not be KGB since you can use VKFX from your KGB version). Note that You can NOT resell your Halion VKC or KGB as this is against the user License Agreement (Both Scarbee and Steinberg ones)

By looking at slow numbers it doesn't really look as a PROTECTED sample library version is realistic as I will just loose money on this project, so it will be an un-protected version if ever released - therefore price is back to higher one.

I also consider just to release N-HP for $59 and D6-C (all 8 sounds) for $199.

If all VKC instruments were bought seperately it would cost $169 (RSP73) + $169 (WEP) + $59 (N-HP) + $199 D6-C (all 8 sounds) = $596 - so you save $297 (VKC K2 is $299), which is a discount of 50%!!

With KGB you save 50% too: $596 (VKC sample libs) + $199 (VKFX) = $795 - so you save $297 (KGB K2 is $399), which is a discount of 50%!!

Excellence! If I wasn't skint I'd lap up VKC for Kontakt in a second. As it is I'm severely tempted anyway

... how long will the preorder phase last? Will owners of the RSP or the WEP have the opportunity to upgrade?

Well I will release it when we reach 35 FULL PREORDERS (not upgrades). After release there will be an upgrade path.

If we don't reach the 35 - it is a proof that it is a bad idea to release this product as sample library - and I don't have to defend myself anymore

Now we have 4 preorders out of 6 billion people on earth..hehe, so you may finally understand why we have not just released it a long time ago?

But let's see what happens next - maybe we reach the 35 one day - and it will be out as promised.

yeah, scarbee this is pretty funny, cause on various forums (not this one, but another in particular) people kept screaming about how if it were available in this format, they'd get it immediately.

:/ well, if we never do hit 35, we can at least point to this test as proof that sometimes people just want to push agendas in forums, but when push comes to shove, theres no bark behind the bite

Seriously though, if I had unlimited funds I would have bought KGB aeons ago, as much as I would prefer a Kontakt version and all the flexibility and convenience it offers (owning J'Slap-n-Fingered for Kontakt as I do). Enough that I can't miss this opportunity.

After I had problems with my eyes I have to be careful what I use my life for. I can't spend several months doing conversions for 5-10 people...

Life is too valuable for this.

On Google "Scarbee" gets 517.000 hits today, so it's funny that only a few people would "buy" a Kontakt version of VKC - since Kontakt should be one of the biggest platforms out there, right?

And if we assume a lot of "cracked" versions of Kontakt out there too - it's even bigger.

Well truth is that sample libraries are not "bought" but just pirated. This is reason why we see insane sales (60%) off, groupales etc. They are very hard to sell.

Fortunately their are still loyal and legitimate users out there who will never steal - even if they could do it without being caught. And furtunately we released Syncrosoft protected VI - that is now bringing in money..

V.K.C/K.G.B for Kontakt 2.1?
