Is there any free pitch shifters available? Like the one in reaktor, just a simple pitch shifter to make an input lower or higher. I found a lot of free ones, but the ones I found have lots of additional effects and I am having a hard time to get out JUST pitch shifting. (Note: I don't have reaktor)
Also, you know the Cube Breath from xoxox?:http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1456.html

I would LOVE to have something like that except without a random music generator. I would like to use it to hear my voice vocoded. But with Cube Breath, you *have* to have the random music generator playing to be able to use the vocoder.
arrite thanks.

SonicFire, MDA talkbox never shows up in Cubase. It does show up in Chainer, but all I see is dry/wet parameters and does absolutely nothing. I heard Cube Breath uses MDA Talkbox, so I really want to try it.

Madshifta is pretty good - it's got delay and filter too, but you can just not use them. Alternatively, try something like KT granulator, which has some pretty good pitch shifting presets.
It's a rave, Lewis!

it's a stereo effect, should be used as follows:Architeuthis wrote:SonicFire, MDA talkbox never shows up in Cubase. It does show up in Chainer, but all I see is dry/wet parameters and does absolutely nothing. I heard Cube Breath uses MDA Talkbox, so I really want to try it.
1. open it on a group channel.
2. use a synth (preffered a sound with lot's of overtones) on a vsti channel, output it to that groupchannel hardpanned left.
3. use a vocalrecording (best is to use a spoken recording for try out) output to that groupchannel also, hardpanned right.
4. turn the output of talkbox to 100% wet for best results.
= now, when you play the synth and the audio snippet simultaniously, the output of talkbox is the "speech" singing the chords you play on the synth.
this result is mono, nevertheless.
hope that helps ...
