it's wabbit season. :hihi:

Not that I am complaining. It's been a little quiet in the forum lately (in this one anyway). Of course that just means we get more work done! ;) RAW is getting closer and there's also a really interesting aspect to it that I can't wait to reveal but I should wait until it is ready to be unveiled. I will for once! Also, a lot of Studio ProFile titles coming out next month. I am also starting up something with Sonik Elementz that may be of interest to people who want an inside look into studios, sessions, interviews with famous artists and more of the kinds of things we've done in this forum over the years (only it fades away into thousands of posts that you'd never be able to find it if you missed it).

eSoundz news: We're taking pre-orders on Ampeg SVX next week. We'll also be offering a nice bundle of AmpliTube 2 and Ampeg SVX together for a sweet deal (because of the crossgrade discount). CSR is a hot one and so is AT2 right now. Visit www.esoundz.com and get free shipping even internationally (in case you didn't know about that).

Silly rabbit. (I actually met the girl who said that in the commercial back in the day. It's Danielle Brisbois who was also on All in The Family. I played keys on a couple of tunes she sang on. She was also in the original cast of Annie on Broadway. What an entertainer's life! But the Trix is for kids thing... that's just immortality! :D ).

OH my gosh Squids now you have free shipping?!!? You really make it very hard to resist me spending money!!

I hate to be that guy, Squids, but wasn't she on Archie Bunker's Place? :)

Ahhhh the wonderful television shows of the late 70's and 80's. :)

Before moving ahead, can we recap the stuff that's still on the burner? My recollection is that there are a few items already slated for the near future, including AT2 'freebie' patches for Esoundz customers, an AT2 Esoundz patch exchange site, a Sonik Synth 2 upgrade, freebie combi's and patch/combi exchange site (ditto Miro and ST2.1 on the exchange sites). I also thought that there was another download due for the ProFiles SE customers in addition to the British/Classic files already put up, but I can't recall what it was.

I may be off the mark on a couple of these, but I seem to recall that they each came up at one time or another in various forum posts. It might be helpful for an "in development" page on Esoundz to give us tentative milestone dates to look forward to (though I'm well aware of the business pitfalls of projecting anticipated launch/release dates--i.e. see IK's release calendar for the past 2 years).

In any event, there seems to be a lot of pending stuff coming, and it may be helpful to organize it all. I'm personally looking forward to getting Studiophonik, and possibly Miro, in the next few months, and it would be nice to be able to visualize when all this will come about.

Thanks

Actually, we've had it for a while. But it is for orders of $199 or more. The items I mentioned are so... good for people to know!

Yes. I knew that but I was being lazy. I didn't actually watch it so I barely remember her then myself. I actually played keys on this track with Danielle that was supposed to be on of all things a Paula Abdul record. I used to go fishing all the time with this R&B producer named Robb Boldt. He produced a few albums with Paula and also worked with Brandy, Janet Jackson, TLC etc. He also had this ability (annoying and frustrating to see) to attract beautiful models and actresses everywhere he went. He dated the girl from Species for example. We didn't believe him but then a friend of mine was out with him one night and she was with Leonardo DiCaprio and left him to come over to tell Robb to call her. That's superficial LA for ya! But, it got to the point where if you hung out with him at a club or a party you were practically invisible. Anyway, I digress... So Danielle was singing the guide vocal on the tracks. When I played on them it turned into this really cool retro 70's vibe with Minimoog and Rhodes thing. Of COURSE it didn't end up on the record... although I think they ended up scrapping her entire record. That happens sometimes. Kevin remixed an album that Hugh Padgam did for Sheryl Crow that never got released. Wanna hear it? Sounds like Maria Carey!!!! Yeah, that is what she FIRST sounded like before Kevin and Bill "invented" her.

Anyway, Danielle was really nice. She used to hang out with this unsuual guy named Greg. We all played "sloshball" in Orange County on 4th of July. That's softball with a keg on second bass and you can't go to third without downing a full cup (but American beer so... no worries ;) ). Anyway, Greg blinked a lot. They were working on some music and I didn't think anything of it at the time. But, years later I saw Greg in a video with a pretty catchy tune actually. His band was called "The New Radicals". You may have heard of them, they had a couple of hits but haven't heard anything since. Anyway, I heard later that Danielle was supposed to be a part of that but something happened (sounds like someone got screwed, which I have seen on several occassions in the music industry).

Anyway, "we all have stories"... but, yeah, I am working on a blog. Videos, little journal tidbits and other scrapbook type things for people that may be interested. Since some of these things (not in the above story though) relate to some of the samples you may have it could even be some backstory to the sounds or maybe you like one of the bands, producers, engineers I've come in contact with. Who knows? I might as well.

I believe the gent's name was Gregg Alexander and I thought his efforts on "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too" was just brilliant pop rock. Unfortunately there was only one album.

Sorry the New Radicals (or more to the point, Gregg) didn't do more in this arena although I understand he went on to do some more producing and songwriting.

Is that Natasha Henstridge?

LOL what a sentence. Poor guy. You Get What You Give still gets solid playback on pop radio up here so I'm sure they still get nice backend royalties off that one-hit wonder. It was a pretty good song as far as pop music goes IMO.

Is this correct? Are there actual follow up disks in the works, too?

How about it Squids? Can we get a definitive list of the pending stuff, or was my earlier post reasonably accurate?

Sorry to be a pain, but inquiring minds want to know. :D
