i dont have time to check but does ESC convert battery kits?Sascha Franck wrote:Do it like has been mentioned Ron.
Yeah, there's some manual remapping involved, but that'd be thc case either way, so you can as well do it by yourself.

Probably only Battery 1 kits.rpc9943 wrote: i dont have time to check but does ESC convert battery kits?
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

ESC converts Battery 1 kits, but not Battery 2.Sascha Franck wrote:Probably only Battery 1 kits.rpc9943 wrote: i dont have time to check but does ESC convert battery kits?
However...
If you read up, you'll see that Paulie Phonick points out that Battery 2 kits are really in .nki format, which ESC is capable of converting. All you have to do is rename the .kt2 file to .nki, then convert the .nki file with ESC. Works well.

I very much like the sound of the toms; as if they have Pinstripes on them. The bass is a bit thin, though.

I was going to map the brush kits myself until I saw that there are over 200 waves. I'm a bit overwhelmed.
I noticed that a lot of the waves sound the same (especially the snares). I'm not sure what to do with them.

I dowwnloaded Translator Free and tried to translate to LM4, but it won't do the translation. It lists LM-4 in the list of possibilities, but nothing happens when I chose it.
So, I did the next best thing and translated to sfz. I don't really like sfz for drums due to the lack of muti-outs.
The drums sounded very muted. So I looked in the sfz file and found that every drum has a low pass filter on it with a cut-off of 645hz! Bad translation I guess.
I'll have to get in there and remove those filters.
I wish Translator Free would do LM-4 so I could use these samples in DK+.
Thanks for the samples.

Load multiple instances of sfz and point each to the same samples and different outs. All sfz instances will share the sample set.P.T. wrote:So, I did the next best thing and translated to sfz. I don't really like sfz for drums due to the lack of muti-outs.

Hi Atodafe and TreStar and everybody,
Thank you for your comments.
I'm thinking (for now only thinking
) to convert my sounds in sf2. So I can avoid the hard work to converting my sounds in soundfont format. I'm not agree about converting with software dedicated to do that because most of the time they don't sound like the original. So I prefer that people play the sounds as I mapped and created them.
Thank you to everybody
Andrea

WOW!
These are fantastic samples - thankyou so much for making them available!! Really crisp, clear amd 'up-front'. In particular the various cymbals really stand out, plus they have l-o-n-g tails. It took me a while to d/l these over my dial-up connection, but they were well worth the wait - thanx again!

Hi guys, I am working on a Reason 3 Combinator for this DrumKit. Each group of sounds (kick, Snares, toms, HHs, Cymbals) will have its own channel with adjustable EQ and reverb...
If interested then have a look here or on my site in a few days...

SWTrex has been so kind to translate Andrea's brush kits to sfz as well.
Here are the mappings: AllKits.zip
Place the sfz files in one folder with the wav files.
