Is there any way to make dialogue windows save their settings? For instance, let's say I want the metronome to ALWAYS respond to the audio metronome rather than to the MIDI note. Or let's say I want the "Open Project" window to open with the default being "Date Modified" or to a certain size. While we're on the key-stroke saving ideas...is there any way to open up a Pan and Volume envelope at the same time? Is there a way to do thaese kind of preference settings? Or should I just try to build a template and keep using the template whenever I start a project?
Please feel free to direct me to any part of the manual or some other resource. Thanks so much!

You can set things up the way you wish such as, tracks, metronomes, plugins and create a template by saving a cwt(?) in the Templates folder. I'm away from my DAW machine at the moment so can't completely recall. Look for file names that are similar to the templates available when creating a new project. If you name the template normal.tpl then that becomes the default template.

Thanks, wwwill - I figured that was the way to go...still, maybe it's a windows thing...I would love to be able to set a default for certain windows...other than the standard "view" option

That's a Windows bug in file open, but there are some utility fixes that I've seen that get this to be remembered - can't recall the name(s) of them, but they've been mentioned on KvR before.
