I'm looking for a sample library that has loads of retro drum samples, in the spirit of the 70's and early 80's (Kraftwerk -type stuff
), as well as ambient electronica stuff. I want something simple, not something with a custom built sampling engine, just samples that I can load into Battery... and I'm NOT looking for loops.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated, good electronic percussion is hard to find

Not a sample library but a kraftwerk-like vst-drumplug, zapkit:
http://miksybrandt.panicnow.net/plugins.htm
(scroll all the way down)
It has some presets named after the kraftwerk-members

Nanodrums are amazing, great collection of samples!
And holy SH*T! I just tried microtonic, been playing with it for about 5 minutes and I'm checking the balance on my bank account to see if I can't just purchase it RIGHT NOW! I have never been as impressed with a synth in such a short time! It's everything I've been looking for! Easier to use than Waldorf Attack, and comes with a bunch of patches (well, enough for me, anyways
) and... well it's just perfect

ErsDrums is another great drum synths for getting those sounds:

But with Microtonic you can't go wrong.

For free samples try the the Drum Hits and loops section here: http://synthetictreasure.mysite.wanadoo ... /home.html
But any 808 sounds are great for electro.
Also all these free drum synths produce great Kraftwerk like analog drum sounds and have usefull presets (especially Drumsynth and Simmolator):

I would second the suggestion to use DrumSynth and cook your own and it even includes some good old-school sounds right of the bat.
