When I adjusted the volume knob 2 days ago (did this just once or twice in the whole time) one speaker crackled (the other one didn't so it shouln't be normal). It's allready the second pair I got: the first was crackling too

Hope Esi is building better quality now...

Thanx for your offer but I don't like "betas". They always seem unfinished to me, even if they are working and I can't really enjoy workin with them

. Im happy with Pocket Limiter and GMax cause they have both very different styles and I think they complement each other very well. Thanx anyway!

I'm very happy with TL's Pocket Limiter. I used to use Kjaerhus Classic Master Limiter (it's free), and TL's compares very favourably. Will have to look at GVST's limiter now. Can always use a good limiter.

Crackled? Shit, I thought I heard crackling in my mix last night, which I thought was me overdriving the input...god, I hope not; mine are used!

Sure, no need to go beta, especially if you're happy. Page 3? We've only just begun - we mentioned "Waves".

I recognized it when I only played a bassdum (well...techno,8) ) . There I heard that "dirt" in my sound, but only from the right speaker. Changed the wires but nothing could stop that except when I turned the volumeknob. Maybe u try that too and look what happens.

Oh and waves (holy grail or devilswork??) they are just to expensive and they suck anyway!! (now let's see how many pages we got tomorrow

HAha believe me IM not responding becasue you said WAVES!!! BUt the L2 is a great limiter. And the Rennasance Compressor is also top notch, Basically everything else, Yes I can do without, and that includes the Linear Multiband, which is great also,

BUt I found that when I used to use the Waves exclusively my mixes were sounding strange, almost grainy, I dont know why, ONce I got the Waves I though I had the holy Grail, and my mixes actually suffered some!! GO figure, I'll use the Renn Compressor still, and the Reverbs but yeah they do something to the mix for me in a negative way, I think their mastering tools,COmpressors(single or Multibands) and L2 and etc. are where Waves excels.

OK, I'll check that out when I get home. I don't think it's the same thing, because I think I've heard that crackling before when I'm running to hot on the guitar...but I'll check. God, I hope not...

Wait, I don't get it: the L2 made your mixes "grainy" or the other effects?

Just joking Killvehicle, didn't want to hurt someones feelings about waves (never had the opportunity to play with waves, well, and never wanted to because they are just to expensive for me)

Wait, I don't get it: the L2 made your mixes "grainy" or the other effects?

Yeah for me the L2 did seem to add some "grain" sometimes, but not in a bad way usually, but actually I was referring to the overall mix with all plugs, It seemed to add a texture I didnt like. Could it have been my mixing? Absolutely, but when I re-mixed with all my old "standard" plugs, I was more pleased with the result.

Hell I still have all the Waves and I hardly use them.

That could be the standard "digital coldness" you're hearing; I don't know about "grain", but I know when I started at work, I found mixes where I was relying on the Waves products to be colder, more rigid-sounding. But then again, my mixing technique has improved, and I record and mix at higher sample/bitrates since then! Now I appreciate the Waves stuff for it's clarity and ease of use; I think they're real quality plug-ins. (The PACE proctection can take a running jump, for all I care.) I still think the L2 is transparent as hell. Mind you, I'm really laying off the brickwall mastering these days.
