how to get the update?
got no mail, and when logging in to AD site, no news nor messages.

nothing new :hihi: only searching for a clue..

When you login to your AD store account, product updates are listed at the bottom (the order goes Recent Orders, Order History, Your Account, Product Updates). If you can't see the download listed, email their support, since 914 may not have been added to your account.

Actually, with this update, we just did it the old-fashioned way, because our WebPerson was otherwise occupied. If you have 914 in your account, just re-download the installer, and reinstall. (Or "upgrade," if on a Mac.)

Sorry for the confusion; we normally talk about this sort of thing on the Audio Damage mailing list, which you can subscribe to from the front page of the site. Our new store, which is being written now, will make this sort of thing easier.

Will the new store be able to deal with people who have bought transferred licenses?

We're actually going to be implimenting an entirely new (and unique to the industry, as far as I know) license transfer system with the new store.

In your account, each product you have purchased will be available as the latest version, with the version number prominent, in both OSX and Windows formats. One of the buttons by each product will be "Transfer License." If you hit this, you will be presented with a box to enter in the new person's AD account name. Provided that name exists in the database, the product will show up in his/her account, with a NEW registration code, and be deleted from your account. Thus the days of writing us to transfer a license will be over.

While there is a moderate danger to us for mild piracy in this method, we feel that the convenience and increased value to the customer outweigh the obvious problems. We're of the opinion that it makes the plugin retain more value, as it is so easy to sell it if you get tired of it.

As far as actually answering your question, yes, the new store will enable me to add and remove products from an existing account much easier, so if you bought a transfered license prior to this new system, I can actually add it to your account and you'll then have a normal license and not have to write me every time there is an update or some such nonsense.

If there are any other license-related features I haven't thought of, I'm certainly willing to entertain notions while the new store is still being written. We're doing it custom from scratch, so we can add pretty much any feature that might seem appropriate.

That's a damn fair licence transfer policy & bloody simple too - hope a number of other devs are taking note.
