Sorry, yes that's right, tisn't the measures but the multiplier as you said. Thanks for catching me on that one ;)

Hi,

Here's another minor B.R. I found:
Track display problem
1 - Load a loop
2 - LMB Lock to loop (default)
3 - RMB Pitch button
4 - Set Pitch range to 48 (default)
5 - Pitch up the locked loop (I.E. +48 )
6 - RMB range 48 value (in order to set it to 2)
:?: The track's display is not being updated completely : The horizontal pitch 'marker' is being updated, whereas the waveform (event) isn't (if you change the pitch, then it is updated...)

Can anyone of you guys reproduce this strange behaviour? Thanks.

GilJ.

Does Liveslice support rex2 files yet, or will it?

cheers,

half confirmed ;)

the display isn't completely redrawn as you stated, but the waveform itself gets updated.. the only thing is that the "white boxes" of the events don't get expanded again.

btw why did you RMB the pitch button? ;)

Cheers bro,

Just bought this soft today, great little prog. Has pretty much all I wanted for loops in one package, very cool. Has some quirks here and there and deffo needs that undo function oh and rex2 support but class proggy, nice one ohm!

Sorry, that's what I wanted to say ;)

In order to lock the pitch for all the events on the track (but even if you don't lock the pitch, you still have the bug for one event only)

Thanks R.A.W for the 'confirmation' :)

I know that the information about RMB locking the buttons, is hidden somewhere in the manual
But it's always a pleasure to help people like you :tu:

Man I can make whole songs out of just this plug! I was "djing" some of my old material and a few samples for hours!
Here are some MUST HAVE features to actually use this as my main live device:
1) cueing! I need a way to compose on the fly with out the crowd hearing it. Make a cue button for each track. Even if muted, a cued track would go to a specified output.

2) Better control of the output #'s. I would rather the output # be a property of event. I could lock and move a whole track to a new out put or do glich style random outputs per beat or just for one occurance of an event that occurs multiple times in the track.

3)A "pattern level" in the settings with controls for shift, pattern amp, pattern pan, maybe a pattern filer (hopefully).

4) A "track" level in the settings that effects the selected track in all patterns [playing]

5) A way to use the mouse to select more that one pattern to play. (other cool options would be a way to drag to select a box of patterns. And a global function to make live slice only play a certain # of the selected patterns at a time, moving in a specific order or randomly on a certain number of beats or randomly).

6) Have sync to sequencer be a pattern specific property. If off, it would just sync the first beat of the patt to the next beat in the seq after the patt is activated.

7)a way to control the portion of a pattern to loop on the fly

8) a smaller view option so I can fit 4 or so on a screen.

Pardon my sloppy typing I was quite excited by the possibilities

An amazing addtion would be a way to sample it self!!!!

Perhaps some of these are in the version I just purchased.. I was using a very old beta.

A good bunch of suggestions there, soma....on the above one, you could always open another instance of LS and sample the output from the first one. But, I agree, it would be nice to do it within the one instance of LS

cheers Soma (and spuddle) - good suggestions there - not likely candidates for 1.4 though :-) It would be great if you could post new ideas in a seperate topic, makes it easier for me. I really like the ideas though, and I'm planning on adding the track / event cueuing and output selection feature in 1.5 the arrangement chaining idea is good too, but seems a bit time consuming to implement.

btw. There's a slight delay caused by some odd behavior related to the color changing features and a bug I found in the missing file browser causing crashes when trying to load invalid files. There'll be a beta next week - I'm dedicating this weekend to the nice weather. I'll be back online sunday evening GMT+1.
