I've read the Usine manual twice through, it looks awesome.
Unfortunately, as it is set to scan my VST folder when it is first initiated
and crashed despite hours of work trying to get rid of plugs that don't
work with it I've never gotten it to open.

lol, wat install. You just unzip a .zip file and all the files are in there. My vst scan worked fine, it takes a while the first time you start but its been working fine since (well, i think its fine, i've yet to learn how to frigging use it
, but it appears to be working great)

Same here, working great
Need some more time to wrap my head around the kinda workspaces but the workfeel is definitely unique and productive, especially for live tweaking with the parameters totally exposed.
I think I had some glitches when trying to sync eXT to it and crashes when switching the "workspaces", nothing impossible to fix I guess.

I really love the idea of the zero-crossing to parameter animation control
in Usine.
I still can't get it to work with my giant vst folder, though.

Nah, but with a 2 puny 30gig hard drives I don't have the leewayxb27 wrote:Do you really need 2500 VST?
(or the time)
to organize things differently atm. I have to much music, both scores
and live performance patches, setup to go screwing with it.
My solution is that being that I've had this laptop for 6 months now
I'm sure something will go haywire soon enough forcing me to reinstall
the whole friggin' mess and organize it more wisely next time.
The topic title should probably be revised to version 1.011 or whatever it is now.

Did anyone have trouble downloading Usine from the Sensomusic site. I've been trying on and off for days and the DL just keeps crapping out. I'll admit my internet connection is a bit patchy but I just downloaded the Ableton Live Demo which is about 4x bigger and that downloaded fine. This looks like a great program and I'd like to give it a shot.
