I'm curious to know if it's possible to incorporate a larger gui in Muon/CM products. Are they skinable? How much work would it be for someone to scale up the gui? If it's a matter of work but not programming expertise, I'd be willing to do the work myself! I would really benefit from a larger gui, especially DS-404.
cheers,

Well. You cant change skins of VSTis [unless there is an option like that (for example Pentagon I by rgcAudio) ]. You cant change the size of icons/knobs etc. without reprogramming whole VSTi DLL. You can change some of graphics in EXE files [exchange would be better word and not the size just other look] using some Resource Editor (like the one attached to MS Visual Studio) but dunno if it will work with DLLs

problem is that can [and usually is] be interpreted as breaking the eula since you are effectively reverse-engineering the code - and you dont want to do that to as nice a bloke as dave

heh yeah. reverse engineering is illegal
if u wanna work on some skin u should contact with maker of Muon/other VSTi and talk about skinnin then
[good idea is to make some project in photoshop and show it
]

Even if you hacked the resources and changed all the graphics (easy enough using the right software) you'd still be limited to the same size and layout of the controls.
We've got a brilliant new artist now that has been beavering away on the Tachyon and Neutron GUIs just recently. Once we get those out of the way some of the older stuff will definately get revisited and have a washdown. The CM stuff you're stuck with, I'm afraid.
Cheers
