Looks nice, but tried in Live5, and it has cpu peaks, and still take too many ressources...

The compressor? What CPU? By resources, do you mean "average CPU" or memory usage or something else?
Mighty good information for me if you supply it

if I may jump in: in Cubase the compressor's about 10% CPU hit and the plugin goes haywire for a second whenever I save or the autosave happens. The EQ give about 5% CPU hit and doesn't freak out when I save.

Does it go haywire if the GUI is closed as well?
Got an optimized version I want you to try out as well, will try to get it up in a while (busy cleaning the balcony

Oh, I can't remember. I'm just heading off to bed - it's insomnia time in Vancouver.
I'll check in the morning: I think it was just visually.

My english is quite limited, so i do not understand the word "haywire".
I mean that when i load the comperssor in Live5, the "cpu use" display jumps about 12-15% (on a laptop asus p4 2,6ghz, 512ram), and has sometimes cpu spikes (it doesn't last long, but it can go up to 35%)...

The spikes _could_ be due to denormals, I will try to look into that. Anyone else on a P4 that could look for spikes?

I seem to have some issues with your eq, insert it on a track and let it loop for a while and when I stop playback it will peg cpu usage. P4/Energy XT.
I actually really like the sound of the eq, Thanks for putting these out.

That does indeed sound like a denormals issue
thank you very much, easily solved

The EQ is nice, but i think it is quite close to Nyquist : one thing that could make it more unique would be the ability to have a frequency display, and also to have lopass/hipass filters...
Nice stuff anyway.
THe compressor seems to be able to crush the sound very well : it pumps, distorts the way i like !
If the cpu problem can get easily solved, it will become very interesting...
One thing I'm looking after on a compressor/limiter is the ability to cut very low frequencies (without putting a eq on a chain) (below 25hz), and have the ability to boost a chosen frequency range... Not many comp do this, and as you are developping eq & comp in the same time, i have dreamt that a "gathering" could make these two nice stuff one killer plugin !

No feature change this time, but I'd like you to see if there's any cpu differences between this and the old version:
Compressor
Eq
Without having a P4 at hand I'm kindof working in darkness here, but I think I might have solved the denormals issue, plus that I (on my computer) about halfed the cpu usage for the compressor.
Comments? Any feedback is welcome

_ The eQ plugin works fine, and is very good (not speaking about "precise audio quality", but much more about features/cpu/stability/easy of use...). It takes only 4% cpu, i hear no click, the filters are efficient and the usability is really great (easier to use than Nyquist, even if working with the same concept)... Nice work.
One or two suggestions : when i show the "no gui" control panel (in order to make midi assignement for example), only one parameter (without name) is shown, so i think i can not use it via midi as a filter for frequency sweep or stuff like that...
I like the "use your ear" conception (no ferquencies shown)...
_ The compressor doesn't work as good as the eq : just loading it in the host increases the cpu usage by 7%, which is a lot for a compressor... (the good point is that when using it, it takes only 1% : it goes from 7% to 8%, without cpu peaks or spikes) ;
The preset #1 works fine, but if I change the preset, the #2 produce a loud noise, the #3 no sound, the #4 no noise... !? It is very weird !
So it was quite difficult to me to test it very well so far...
I hope it helps

Weird stuff
What do you mean by "when using it" ? Usually effects are always active, regardless of if the sequencer is playing or not, just as long as the plugin is loaded (and not disabled). Here it uses about 5% CPU.
Will have to look into why preset changes don't work in Live5.

Live have some kind of "intelligent plugin use" : the plugin should use no cpu if no sound gets into it. So, i you open the gui, tweak the knobs, or if you actually use it, it takes more ressources than if just "loaded" in the host. What do you mean by "when using it" ?
So, in that way, taking 7% just to be open is quite a lot (most of the plugins take 1 to 3%)...
The good point is that is only increases of 1% when used.

It seems Live doesn't manage to disable this plugins processing then
So don't judge the plugins "idle" cpu usage, but only the 8% when being used mark.
Granted, you might still find that one too be way to high as well. There's probably still room for some optimizations, but with regards to what it's capable of, I don't think the CPU hit is all that bad.
And oh, I'm thankful for your help btw, so thanks
