played with a few of the h/w modules..

'disco tom' = sine wave osc with an envelope to pitch

for an accurate emulation you want an exponential envelope

soooo appx. 10,000 vsti should be able to produce this noise.

such as my 'expodrum'

(note - there are no presets, and both oscs are amplified in "the preset," so turn the 2nd osc amp all the way down so you can concentrate on the first one..)

either "sine wave osc with an envelope to pitch" or self oscillating filter with a decaying envelope. which is the same thing really, but a different way of getting it on the front panel.

haha Rose Royce! I programmed a similar bassline with VazPlus2. So I'm all set to replay that intro with Synth 1 and VazPlus2.

..and the next thing i knew, he was playing a live set at the Pink Flamingo club in downtown Harlem
