This is a big feature request and I'm drumming up support so the Abes will add it in the next rev or sooner.

I have no problem with tabbing between screens ... the less clutter the better

Agreed. The second version of Project 5 tried to implement something like Ableton Live's Session View (though less good) alongside a more conventional arrangement view, all on one GUI screen. I felt it was definitely too cluttered when I tried it out.

I like to keep the Session and Arrangement seperate because they are largely used (here at least) for different stages in the development of a composition/production anyway.

I suspect that Ableton will implement this at some point though, particularly for those who use dual monitor setups. They tend to respond to user requests pretty positively and quickly.

Can I use Live with NI instruments like Reaktor 5 or Kontakt 2? I use Pro Tools as well. I would also like to know how making a complex drum pattern would be accomplished. What makes is so unique from another program?

My favorite host for using Reaktor is Live 5

Aren't there still problems with some reaktor ensembles & Live: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25171

Native Instruments Reaktor 5 misses the first note on ensembles that use sequencers.
Format: AU & VST
Platform: PC & MAC
Status: Verified by Native Instruments as a bug in Reaktor.

may be true, but that doesn't stop me; I mainly use the groovebox stuff
