Just to let anyone who might be interested know, Replacer is now a free download - no donation required.

"Replacer" is a VST plug-in designed to replace drum and percussive sounds with other samples. Basically, it is comprised of a band-pass filter which selects the relevant frequency of the sound required to be replaced, and then the peak amplitudes at this frequency then trigger chosen sample/s. The samples can be 16 or 24-bit PCM Wave files recorded at any sample rate.

Nice one, thanks chaps. Thanks also to everyone who donated. It's not quite in the same league as Drumagog et al, but it does the job and now the donations seemed to have petered out I'm happy enough knowing that it'll be getting some use.

so can someone explain to me how this plugin works and practical application... cause currently i don't see why i need it. but its free. so i want it. but... im just lazy ok?!

practical application: Replace crappy sounding recorded drums with excellent sounding samples. Can layer up to 4 different samples per instance.

There is an easy to understand manual included in the download.

(Can be used for other creative sounds as well, triggered from an audio peak. Use any recorded peak to activate any sampled sound in your library.)
