Anything like Karma?

Is there anything like this in the native software world?
http://www.karma-lab.com/kt/karma-triton.html
ie. a host and or plugin (midi fx?) that can create such sophisticated phrases etc?
The closest I can think of are some of the features in the new Kontakt scripting engine or possibly aspects of Project 5 v2's device chain concept but is there anything that comes closer?

Sequencing, Phrasing, complex ARP's - there is a big hole here, especially on the Mac.
There is not one sequencing environment (on the Mac) that I really like. I can see in my mind what tool(s) I would like. Nothing comes close. I use Tracktion as a host. Its midi is so by the book and boring. No creative thought there. The other main hosts are generally the same paradigm though with some better tools.
Then there are products like Numerology which is interesting in some regard, but you cannot play, you can only program. It seems so obvious to me to want to be able to put the two together. At best hosts have an arp (which is usually plain vanilla)
I would like a realtime playing/programming environment that was strong for live/spontaneous composition. The lack of tools that fit my vision has caused me to start trying to convince a coder friend of mine to work with me and make something.
I live with what I got and make do, but I think there is a big breakthrough waiting to happen on this front.
I'd be interested to try the Karma software if Korg released it as a vst.

Not sure if Stephen Kay mentioned the possibility of a VST version: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... ight=karma
I'll have to re-read....

He did say a version not tied to having a Korg product. That was over a year ago. I'd like to see some other developers do their own versions of such 'super arps'.

Check out Tera;

It's about the closest I've come across for real-time stuff. Check out ArtSong if you want static MIDI patterns.
