Hi,

I use Chainer (last update 2002), and I'm thinking about changing to V-Stack. Would it be a good idea? Differences?

Thanks!!

Post

I'd say that depends how you're using Chainer... V-Stack is a very different beast...

Is it possible to automate VST plugins in V-Stack like in Chainer? Can't find a hint.

Post

I have both. Chainer is way better, but it's been quite awhile since I used V-Stack.

V-Stack is as outdated and unsupported as Chainer, so keep your fingers off!

If you are a "traditional" live keyboarder go for Brainspawns forte (http://www.brainspawn.com/). If you are more into experimenting or electronic stuff check out energyXT. Or get the best of both worlds and run energXT (http://www.xt-hq.com/) as a plugin in forte!

Here at K-V-R is also a brilliant forum for energyXT.

I found out that the main difference between both VST hosts is the missing of plugin automation in V-Stack. So I will stay with Chainer.

Thanks for replies!

Micha
