I need some guidance on how to transpose an entire sample set in manymapper. Specifically, I'm trying to create a "strat-unison" preset by loading the StratNP set twice into the mapper and then simply transposing one of the sets down one octave.
I tried the transpose button, but could not get it to go. Thought it best to enquire here before eating up anymore time.
Thanks,
Nthbeatle

So you're trying to have two duplicate copies of the StratNP and one of the copies down an octave?
If so, I'm not sure the WusikSND format permits two layers overlapping, if you compile it, it comes up with "overlapping layers" error (if I remember correctly from my own experiments)
One thing that you can do is compile two seperate soundsets of the StratNP, one in the normal octave, and the other one click the "transpose" button and then the "entire soundset" button, and enter -12 into the text box to transpose the soundset down an octave. Then merge the two soundsets together using the "merge" command within the import dialogue box.

Or
If you have ManyStation or WusikStation....
Compile the 2 Soundsets separate and use ManyStation to Layer them as you want.
This will work for sure and allow you apply separate envelopes and FX etc to each Layer. This is one of the cool features of ManyStation/WusikEngine.
In fact ... you should be able to just load the same exact soundset in 2 of the layers and adjust the transpose in ManyStation
Then you don't increase sample size on your disk either.
But of course ...you need ManyStation or WusikStation for that procedure.

Greg,
Thanks for the procedure - I had left out a step.
Paul,
Will ManyOne have the capability to load multiple soundsets and layer?
By the way, the "Flames" used to be Atlanta boys - just down the road from me. You guys old enough to remember that far back:-)

Hi NthBeatle
ManyOne will only load a single layer to start.
I don't know yet where we will take it, so i can't say anything more... at least not till after we release it.
I remember the Atlanta Flames, So i guess i am old.

Also ... I am sure you sent me a mail the other day but i can't find it anymore. I have no idea what happened with it but recall seeing it.
Can you resend it please.
Cheers
