Hi,

When using manualy the Korg Legacy filers controls very very ( - very ! -) softly (HPF / LPF) I can hear the "path" of the midi "scale", from 1 to 127. So there is only 127 subdivisions of the filter value, right ?
Is there a way (a midi vst or something) to improve this in order to get a more natural progression without the perception of this "scale" ?
Sorry not to be able to explain a bit clearly, I hope someone will understand my bad english...
Thanks,

This aint easy to fix I'm afraid...

Maybe you can assign the pitch wheel to influence the filter. The pitch wheel has a higher resolution of 128*128=16384 steps.

Another approach is to find a way to limit the range of your control, and so reduce the size of the steps. For instance: a control that influences how much the filter envelope influences the filter. If the ADSR is set with only a sustain at 10% you have a finer control over the filter.

This will only work if internally the filter works with higher precision. Most times this is the case.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

Many thanks COOkie ! I didn't knew about the pitch wheel resolution, and this sounds perfect to me !
Agree with second approach too... I didn't thought of that.
Cheers,

Laurent
