Hi,

Welcome to your new second home. :)

I've been just trying Edison out. Really excellent thing, I am very inclined to get it.

However, I've come across two problems.

1 - trying Edison in Audiomulch, any time I try to access a file (load or save) from Mulch's modules while Edison's GUI is open, Mulch crashes. This doesn't happen in Tracktion or Live, so maybe a conflict with Mulch's file access routines? I can send you the error log that Mulch creates if you'd like.

2 - when recording with Edison, I've noticed some crackling and clicking at the beginning of a new note/sound. Here's an audio example of what I mean. The first part is just a bass, the second part is the bass as recorded in Edison (mind the noiseburst in the middle).

Cheers,
Steve

Looking at your wave in an editor, the sound has suffered an abrupt phase reversal toward the end of each note.

Carb.

The noise burst (every 10 seconds) is the demo limitation.

I think he realises that, he was concerned about the clicking noises. There is a phase reversal of the waveform toward the end of each note. I show one example.

Carb.

Of course, just didn't want to alarm your ears with the demo burst, I couldn't avoid it for the recording.

I mean the clicking that occurs between notes.

That'll be for Tony or Reflex.

shamann: In audiomulch, is there any MIDI getting into that IL plugin at all? (i.e., is there any MIDI cable attached or hooked up to Edison in Audiomulch at all?)

There's a similar problem with the IL plugins in energyXT that has the same 'clicking' problem and I thought I'd just give you a heads-up in case it solved it (temporarily).

JMC: Ooh, thanks for adding Juice Pack to the FL user's discount. :) *yoink*

By default, I think all plugins receive MIDI (no actual MIDI patching in Mulch like eXT, just enabling MIDI receive per module).

I'll try disabling it and see what I get.

Cheers for the idea, that seemed to have resolved the problem. I assume there was some kind of 'snap to MIDI input" thing going on by default. I didn't seen any info on MIDI functions in the help, anyone have any?

I get the file access crash on a second PC with Mulch, so it appears to be a conflict with the host rather than a system-specific thing, if that's any help to you.

I'll check out both problems. I can reproduce the first one, but I may need some help with the second one.

Do you have an AudioMulch file that I could use to reproduce it?

Fixed now for the next version. Though I still have to talk to Ross (AudioMulch developer) about the exact cause.

Hi reflex,

I'm glad to hear you were able to fix it. I'm guessing you don't need a file any more?

No, I think I've fixed the second problem too now.

I've uploaded version 1.0.2 now. It can be downloaded from the same location as before.

See the Juice Pack release thread for a list of bugfixes.
